Rivoli Hotel

I was very pleased with the customer service. The front desk arranged an early taxi for me to get back to the airport. This hotel is bare bones, but it’s very close to the Old City Damascus gate. I felt comfortable alone, but not everyone might. The surrounding area is bustling, but after 10 was pretty empty.

Good value basic hotel. Very helpful staff. Ideal for visiting Old City. Would use it again.

Excellent for the price what I paid. The manager of the hotel Husaim was brilliant, really friendly and helpful.

The hotel is very close to herodes and damascus gate. The room is spacious and clean. The staff is really friendly and helpfull, specially Hassan!!

There was no lift to take us (age 75) to our room on the first floor. There was no facilities to make coffee in the room. There was no facilities to cool your water in the room.

Room clean and decent value for money. Breakfast not very good ( instant coffee). Location convenient to Old City in slightly run down but interesting neighborhood

There is no elevator, no telephone in the room, no cups for drinking water, not to mention no coffee maker. Very old fashioned hotel, fill paper form to check in...

The Rivioli Hotel is everything I could have asked for in a hotel. It is 2 minutes from Herod's Gate. Walking distance to EVERYTHING you want to visit in the Old City. The Wifi connection in the room is strong and steady. The hotel is old which is nice because it fits in with the city. The carpets are worn, the furniture could be older than me. BUT ! Everything is clean and well maintained so don't let that put you off. The neighborhood is safe and vibrant with great swarama restaurants, lots of little shops, and open air markets. The strongest recommendation I can give for the hotel Rivoli is its staff. They bent over backward to help me with both minor and major requests. The staff checked that everything was ok whenever we saw each other.

Stayed for one night. Basic hotel, very friendly staff. No lift, not a problem if you don't have walking problems. Bags carried up by staff.no tea or coffee in room.
