"Great Jerusalem stay"

8.0

Had a great stay at the Rivoli. Situated very close to Damascus Gate in the old city. This hotel had everything I needed for the night for a great price. Comfortable, clean and very friendly staff.

"great value"

6.0

basic room and clean, located on busy street but rooms in back overlooking cemetery are very quiet, substantial breakfast served in dining room, large living room with computer and wifi available for guests, staff very helpful. Location is perfect across the street from Herods Gate for exploring Old City and East Jerusalem. great value for the money

"A Home from Home in Jerusalem"

10.0

The shabiness and basic surroundings give a dingy appearance as you arrive. However the place is perfectly clean and rooms are attended to daily. The situation of the hotel near the old wall and central to the history of the area means walking too the old city is well within reach. Where the hotel shines is in the manner of the staff...nothing is a trouble they enjoy meeting any and all of your needs. Are a fund of information and by the time 6 nights were up I am sorry to be leaving them all behind. From the youngest to the oldest they are a delight and it would be my great pleasure if I can encourage others to share the good experience I have had.A good breakfast is provided free and if numbers are adequate an evening meal is supplied at a reasonable cost. Shuttle service can be arranged to and fro the Telaviv airport.

"A bit shabby, but the price makes up for it."

6.0

The hotel is a bit shabby but clean, and the price is very good. It is close tot he old city, which is excellent. I'm fairly sure someone went into my room at one point, because when I left to go to dinner I turned all the lights out, and when I returned some of them were on. But nothing was taken. There is wifi, but it is not accessible from the rooms. The hoteliers tried to give us advice about getting around, but tended to give out information for more expensive options. Luckily we asked around and found better deals ourselves. The sheets don't fit the beds properly and are slightly too small, meaning all night I was pulling sheet up to cover the mattress. The hummus at breakfast is very good.

"Budget"

4.0

This is a bare-bones economy hotel. The rooms were clean, the Old City was literally across the street, as was the Police Station. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The amenities were few- no phone or alarm clock in room, no refrigerator or coffee pot. If you happened to be in the room when room service came by you would go without services as they did not return a second time. I did enjoy my stay- but would probably choose a more comfortable hotel next time. Also, they had no room for me the day I arrived- had to go to a hotel up the street and charge the night on my credit card until the reservation issue was sorted out. o
