Hotel Mary

The property was spectacular. It has everything you would need. The staff were always available to answer questions, set up transportation and local points of interest. The pool was perfect. The beach club was wonderful.

The hotel was in a beautiful location, and the views from both the rooms and the pool area were stunning. Breakfast was good. Check in and checkout were smooth. The room was clean, but a bit small for four people and luggages. Some members of the staff were friendly, especially at breakfast and at the pool & beach club.

The reception staff were not particularly service-minded e.g. they rarely greeted us when we returned to the hotel. One morning we were leaving for an excursion before breakfast service started. The previous evening, at around 9 PM, we asked at reception whether it would be possible to arrange a grab-and-go breakfast. The receptionist informed us that the kitchen was already closed and that nothing could be done for the following morning. Surely it would have been possible to provide at least some fruit or a similar alternative if there had been a greater willingness to help. The soundproofing in the hotel was quite poor. Fortunately, there were no noisy partygoers staying next door. Overall, the hotel left us with the impression that guest service was not a priority, almost as if there are anyhow enough tourists and therefore the staff do not need to make their best effort. Considering that this is an expensive hotel, especially at this time of year, the value for money was disappointing.

The food at the hotel was the best food we had in Italy, and the staff was just superb. Everyone welcomed us warmly and made each of us feel special. The room was very comfortable, always clean, and everyone went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The views were gorgeous, loved waking up to that view every morning, from the restaurant we got some amazing pictures, and the breakfast which is included was exquisite. The fruits all fresh, the bakery top notch, my favorite were the bread and the donuts.
