The location is perfect for our visit to the Newark showground. The Indian restaurant adjoining the accommodation is one of the best I’ve visited this alone is worth a stay.

Can’t think of anything negative!

Easy to get to and park. Well placed for me on the way to the ferry. Comfortable room, nice and big. Friendly staff. Within walking distance from a good pub!

The bed was comfy. The room is very spacious. The shower was hot, and the flow was good.

This was a cheap room, but it could have done with a few improvements. It would not take much to improve the place. With a little bit of effort, it could be a lovely place and still stay in the lower price bracket. I didn't expect much, but I didn't expect a room filled with a mess of furniture that looked as if it had been bought at a yard or jumble sale, and it to be dusty. The table, which had seen better days, had a bumpy, raised surface, as it was a 90's office desk, it had suffered from boiled water damage on the laminate. It was also dusty. The bathroom was dusty, with cracks in the corners and flaking paint. Next to the bath, a very large floor tile (not part of the decor) was propped on the wall, hiding missing/peeling paint, dampness, and other issues behind it. The bath tiles were missing grout, and some had a mismatched grout, with a little mould in places. The duvet was fine, but the sheets were too small, so they bunched up during the night. Though the pillow cases were clean, they looked as though they could have done with replacing and 1/2 of the pillows were lumpy. The "emergency light" was so bright that it felt like I had a side lamp on. It was one of those Emergency lights in the ceiling from the 90's. Also, one of the windows didn't shut properly. There was a draft. I stayed in Room 10, which was the farthest one from the restaurant, and outside, down the building, between it and the fence, were all the old mattresses and furniture. I had to listen to the neighbour next door have a heated argument between 10:30 pm and 11:40 pm. The soundproofing was nonexistent. Luckily, I remembered I had my Loop earplugs. Luckily, I locked my door as at 10 pm someone tried the handle and walked off in a huff. I left my car camera on after that, as I didn't like it.

Big room, having a couch/sofa would be more comforting

We stayed at room 4 on Sunday 26 th April and was lovely Friday the 1st may we stayed at room the bath panel was broken there was only one mug not enough tea bags or milk the beds was not changed as the sheets were all wrikledthe tv didn't work I had to go and tell them when we stayed in room 4 on 26th April you could not fault it the meal was nice there as well

Well I would not stay at room 5 again
