I love this hotel. Full of character and great breakfast which is better than many 4 star hotels. Right in the center of town but not on a loud street.
The hotel was worn and falling apart. Ceiling held together with tape, carpets stained and torn. Biggest complaint is they did not honor the agreed to rate. They added an additional tourist tax. The did say if I would provide some sort of evidence that I was on business they would not have to. I got the impression they were encouraging me to be less than honest so they could avoid having to pay the tax. I don't so that sort of thing and I don't like doing business with people that do.
We were a couple staying for six days. The hotel has an excellent location on a pedestrianised street right in the centre of the city near the Beethoven House, and very close to a stop for trams from Siegburg if coming by ICE train. The public areas have a slightly worn appearance and there are a lot of stairs (no lift) so maybe not great if you have a lot of heavy luggage. Our room was comfortable and quite spacious and there was good free WiFi - there is also a PC and printer available in a public area.There was some early morning noise from trucks unloading at nearby shops/restaurants. There was an excellent breakfast. Altogether I would strongly recommend this hotel as a very good value and pleasant place to stay in the centre of Bonn.
Good stay. perfect location
The Hotel is very good in its location to the city center and businesses in the area. The service was also good. The reception is excellent. The breakfast buffet is complete and gives a choice to make. The only thing that was uncomfortable was the steep stairs to the top rooms. I will recommend it to others who wish to pay less for a reasonably good service.
This hotel is in a great location with a very good breakfast buffet, so it is my usual place when I travel to Bonn. It needed a facelift about 20 years ago, and while the rooms are kitschy, the bed is reasonably comfortable. The bathroom is not very nice, but is clean. The showerhead wouldn't stay up, so I used the stool to sit down in the shower, to deal with the issue. Overall, for the location, breakfast and friendly service, it is worth dealing with the quirks of the place.

I was there with my daughter,gays in reception are very costumer oriented,ready for any help you can ask/need . Old fashion hotel is build ed in beginning of last century, without any important Restoration ,in center of city Bonn,with all benefits and is very quite. I will go again.
The staff was nice and the location is excellent. The building is a nit old of course, but even decorations and its ambiance are a bit tacky. They also didn't have hot water that morning so we could t take a shower.
