Corriegour Lodge Hotel

Beautiful scenery around the area. Quaint room

We loved our quiet stay at the Corriegour Lodge. Our hosts were engaged in our travel and offered some suggestions to make our stay more enjoyable. We have really only one suggestion. You n ed new bedding. The bathroom was nicely updated and your breakfasts were spot on, but our bed felt tired and more in line for a couple who wish to sleep in the same room but in separate beds. Otherwise our stay was perfect.

Excellent staff in Christian and Ian, beautifull decor throughout the lodge, food and service was top notch.

The food offered at the Hotel is very good, we didn’t dine in due to our plans while staying there, it’s a more formal set way of dining which wouldn’t suit everyone. The hotel itself is bathed in old charm with spectacular views over the loch. The area is great for walking. The staff are friendly and helpful and we were pleased to note that no noisy devices are allowed over breakfast. Breakfasts are made to order and there is no waste because of this.

This hotel was a special case you sometimes come across. This is a small family hotel that is just very, very charming. The restaurant has a magnificent view on the loch which enchanted us every time. Both the breakfast and the dinner we had here were just excellent and among the best we had during our 2 week stay in Schotland. The staff is limited to the family who are very friendly, helpfull so it is impossible not feel at home. There was an incredible charming reading room with a fireplace = fabulous for me as an addicted reader

The hotel has passed however it's best days and needs to be renovated and improved. When we booked we had the impression this would be luxurious boutique hotel, which is not the case. But this is more about our wrong perception when we booked. This was stil a very, very lovely stay which we enjoyed very much!

It was a lovely hotel standing in its own grounds by the side of a loch. The staff were exceptionally friendly providing a warm welcome. Dinner was excellent and we retired to a separate whisky lounge to relax and chat after our meal. Breakfast was cooked fresh and was fantastic.

We booked two double rooms. One was was fine, the other a bit smaller, with only one armchair. However since we were only staying for one night it was not a problem. This didn't detract from our enjoyment of this great hotel.

Location, room, food were all ok but …

Expensive and we were accused of causing water to come through from the bathroom to the room below, which had been newly plastered and the bathroom replumbed recently.The shower was difficult to regulate and a small amount of water did splash over the edge while trying to get the water to the right temperature but if that small amount, and there were no puddles anywhere, did find its way through then more sealant and proofing should be installed. The owner became a touch aggressive when I said the installer should have checked and tested this all out when it was done. NOT our fault.
