Warm welcome despite early arrival. Offered choice of two rooms. Informed of all essential details eg time and menu for breakfasts. GIven street map with extra markings for where we wanted to walk. Convenient car park behind hotel. Pleasant and interested communication with proprietor at all times. No request for payment, or even deposit, until immediately before departure.

Good overnight stay.

4 of us stayed here the night before a half marathon. Nice place within walking distance of town. They kindly did us a continental breakfast earlier than the advertised breakfast time which was really appreciated.

Hotel is reasonably priced and close to the city centre

Good value for money, the staff are very welcoming and helpful. I stayed in Room one which is a large room at the front of the hotel near the road. I thought traffic might be a problem but it was not. The bed is too soft for me, but for my short stay it was fine. The bathroom is inset into the side of the room and like the room was clean, the only problem was the showerhead could not be adjusted to point down (an easy fix). The breakfast was great and worth the stay on its own.

Had a good welcome at reception, room was comfortable and clean. We needed a taxi they did that for us. Breakfast in the morning full breakfast was good! Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to our friends and family.

Very friendly helpful staff, they couldn't do enough to accommodate our every need. As I have a disability I was offered a later breakfast and check out time if required free of charge and an air cooling unit put in our room for a more comfortable nights sleep. Breakfast was really good too. Overall a very good nights stay, I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Friendly welcome and clean, comfortable rooms. 15 minute walk from town centre - close enough, but far enough away not to be troubled by traffic noise. Staff friendly and obliging - superb full English breakfast. A very pleasant stay, would recommend to other travellers.
