Very comfortable rooms and excellent food and drink

Accommodation was excellent, evening meal served in pub was very good, good choice on menu, reasonable prices, well served. only downside was that Breakfast only being available from 7.30 to 8.30 am was too early for us. I accept that most of the other guests appeared to be working in the local area and so would need to eat early and get off to work, but this time is to early for tourist guests.

The hotel was small, nice and quiet.

Lovely quiet place to stay... Comfy cosy room...comfy bed...the pub food is some of the best I've had...the owners take pride in how they present and run the place...will definitely be at the top of my shortlist when staying in the area

Stayed for 2 weeks as I was working locally. Didn't try the breakfasts as they started serving at 7.30am and I was already in the office in Hull by 7.00am. Got back to the hotel about 8.00pm each night so I didn't get a lot of chance to look around the area but nothing much in the actual village itself although it's not far from many other places. It's less than a half hour across the Humber Bridge into Hull. Ate in the pub a couple of times and the food is really excellent, all homemade. Lovely soups and roll, fresh fish and the steak and ale pie was superb with plenty of thick chunks of meat and rich gravy topped off with a flaky pastry lid. The pub is very charming and very popular so you need to book if you're going to eat as they stop serving at around 8.30pm. I did eat in a couple of other places while in and around Hull and they weren't a patch on the food here. Room was excellent and very clean and comfy, hence I booked for the second week as well. Cleaned every day, nice TV in the room, nice en-suit facilities. I will stay and dine again next time I'm in that area.

I had to make the effort and detour on way to work because I would not arrive until late after work and too late to check in as although it was an Inn in a small village it shut early at 2230. It was good value, the single room was small, and quiet but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was predictable no choice of milk, just full fat, I personally don't like nimble type bread toast. In this day and age breakfast was a little overpriced in comparison to that of the likes of Morrisons or Tesco and Sainsburys breakfast which are complete and only cost around £4.50

Booked due to meetings locally, had stayed before and the friendly staff, great food and "Traditional Pub" charm was great. Publicans are great, very friendly and obviously take great pride in their pub!

Another great stay at the Thornton Hunt Inn. Friendly staff and good facilities make your stay here a treat. Good food in the restaurant/bar with plenty of vegetarian options. Breakfast is big!

Just a stopover. Food in pub was average with expensive beer. Room was spotless. TV was very small. Man in next room was snoring...

Last minute trip got to hotel to late for food , but no problems . All very good. This looks like a place that is cared for.
