Santika Premiere Dyandra Hotel & Convention - Medan

Medan is a busy, bustling city and the third largest in Indonesia. It was my introduction to North Sumatra and it was lovely to visit and experience all this region has to offer. I was there to attend a conference and this hotel was the venue. The Santika is an excellent conference venue with everything well managed and professional. Food was varied and tasteful and the service was fully professional. Accommodation was good and fancy. Rooms were adequate but with an annoying feature of a TV that came on each time you entered the room and turned out to be hard to turn off. Water pressure was poor and it was impossible to get hot water. The lodging served their purpose. Hotel facilities are good, cleanliness is excellent and it proved well suited for our conference needs.

room was basic and clean with plenty of lighting options, a safe is provided. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful and 4 bottles of water are supplied on a daily basis. Breakfast range was quite extensive with lots of local cuisine choices but the quality was acceptable rather than exceptional.

the safe did not close or open smoothly and often displayed an error message, it was serviced by the technician but after a while it came up again. aesthetically the rooms are simple and a bit crude but clean nonethless. wifi is without password and therefore exposes security flaws

the food was splendid! the location was strategic, mid of the city, very accessible, easy to get grab anytime of the day.
