Emily Suites

We stayed at Emily's Suites for 4 nights this month for a short break as a base to explore Pompeii, Capri and Sorrento itself. The apartments are situated 15 mins walk from Sorrento centre, easily accessible from the train station. Emily, Anna and all the staff were really helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast arrangements suited us fine, it was left outside our room at a prearranged time each morning and we had plenty of choice. A really positive experience and would be happy to stay here again when we return to Sorrento.

Emilia and her team could not have done more to make us feel welcome and help us. Amazing stay- already planning to go back.

Emily & colleagues were there to meet us upon arrival and proved delightful. The room was comfortable and breakfast was great. Would definitely visit again. Thank you Emily; we had a ball !!

We stayed two nights in the fabulous green room at the Emily suites, the lovely Emilia met us at the building entrance and took us up to the room, explained all things and gave us a short talk on the area and things to do. The room itself was bigger than I expected from the images and very well set up, with ample furniture including a comfortable couch and small fridge. The location is about 800m ( a 10min walk) from the railway station and it takes about 15min to walk in to the old town where the bulk of the restaurants etc are. Its a great justification for having a double scoop Gelato when you get there though!! There are several closer places to eat so the walk is not essential. We found the included continental breakfast perfect but if you are a hot breakfast eater you may find yourself wanting more. We will definitely stay again if we get the chance to make it back to Sorrento! Thank you Emilia!!

If your budget is limited and you want a base for visiting the Amalfi Coast, Pompeii, Capri and so on, you couldn't do better than use the Emily Suites. As others have said, Emily is very friendly and obliging. The place is B and B and you can choose your breakfast which comes on a table pulled into your room. You then use the fold-up chairs to enjoy the meal. A word about getting there though. We chose to take the bus from the airport - a great way to travel and economical at 10 euros each way per person. Having found the stop (opposite departures) and bought a ticket we queued - English fashion. By the time the bus arrived there were enough passengers to fill it - it was only about 20 seats big. Some late-comers didn't get a seat - so beware! We found people in Sorrento very friendly and helpful. An elderly gentleman pointed us in the direction of the Emily Suites - only about a ten minute walk - no need for a taxi. But do beware if you're told it's in a block near a service station. There are three - and it's the third! That aside, we had a fantastic stay and would thoroughly recommend the place.

We drove down from Naples along the coast to Sorrento, beautiful. Driving is not for the light hearted! Emily Suites was easy to find and the car park across was a bonus else parking would have proven to be really difficult. The main square was a 10min walk from the Suite just right away from all the noise. Emily was very welcoming the suite was nice and cosy, simple with lots of warm touches. Emily was very helpful and informative. We were served a lovely light breakfast every morning with love heart toasties and chocolates on Valentines. On our return from a day out in Capri Emily had gone to great efforts to add valentines touches to our suite with rose petals and candles. All these extra touches made our stay extra special. Will definitely be going back to Emily suites.

Emily Suites sets the standard for B&B's! This was one of the most comfortable places that we have ever stayed. Emily has gone out of her way to think of everything that her guests could possibly need during their stay. We stayed in the Turquoise room that was large, sparkling clean and quiet, overlooking lemon orchards. Emily and her staff brought us a giant, delicious breakfast in our room every morning (they actually let you order your favorite foods)!! The location is fantastic with great pizza restaurants nearby and a laundry mat on the ground floor, it is a short walk away from the crush of tourists in the center of town.

We loved the little B&B! Emilia and her staff provided us with everything we needed. The rooms are large, location close enough to the center of town, and we had a great vacation! The tours she recommended were fantastic, she had done her homework! We had a wonderful day on the water, swimming and checking the various coves while on the Capri tour. The Amalfi coast tour was also very enjoyable and well designed. Sorrento is expensive and Emily Suites are a bargain! Stay here! She will take good care of you!

We booked the Emily Suites as it was reasonably located in Sorrento, had great reviews and the photos looked good. Well how disappointed were we! Firstly we were dropped off by our taxi in the Esso forecourt. Lovely beginning. Secondly, the pictures of the Emily suite were of a different location and hotel facade, so we spent another 20 minutes trying to locate the building. In fact the Emily suites are on the third floor of a residential block which backed onto the Circumvesuvious train line which gave us a wonderful nighttime serenade. We could not close the windows as the air conditioning/climate control was noisy and we could not drop it any lower than 18c added to which the room was south facing so we had the full blast of the Sun's heat into the room for the whole day. Breakfast was brought to our room and was a simple affair, synthetic toasted ham and cheese sandwich, croissant, coffee, orange juice and assortment of jams. The noise from one of our neighbouring guests at 4.30am had my husband knocking on the door telling them to shut up. The bed was comfortable, which was fortunate as we spent most of the time awake due to the heat, noisy trains, noisy traffic and arguing guests. All in all a wonderful time had by all!!!

Emily suites is centrally situated in Sorrento, so no time was wasted getting to station, buses etc. Emilea and her staff were very kind and helpful to us and we would thoroughly recommend her suites to other travelllers to Sorrento.
