The hotel reeks of cigarette smoke, mold and is dirty. We considered checking out immediately after arriving but thought we would make the best of it for the evening. When we realized our room did not have any towels at 10:30 pm, I called the front desk only to be told I had to come downstairs to the front desk to get them. After getting redressed and coming to the front desk found three people behind the counter just playing on their cell phones and not working. This hotel is a dump and deserves to go out of business. Terrible service at a filthy hotel. Don't stay here. Hollywood Hotel is definitely not worth $230 a night.

Good stay for the night

I’m not certain what has happened but when you walk into the lobby, the odor is horrendous! It smells like wet, moldy, drywall, or carpet or something… As somebody with asthma I had a very hard time breathing almost immediately so whatever is going on there is it a very dangerous level. I do not advise anybody that has any kind of breathing issue asthma or otherwise to stay in the hotel. I personally didn’t leave the room because of this I had no choice but to stay at that point it was only for one night. My room was fine but the minute I walked into the hallway it hit you like a ton of bricks and my husband who does not have asthma even said he was getting a little bit of a headache from whatever it is. I’m wondering if it hasn’t been flooded and just things weren’t replaced because I did notice that the carpeting everywhere I looked was very old and worn and ripple as though it had been wet and just let dry, which will happen to carpeting. I’m assuming it’s flooded at some point maybe from the river and they didn’t replace things they just cleaned them or try to… I had to do an insurance adjustment on a property that that had happened to and I remember distinctly that smell was exactly the same and I couldn’t stay in that property for a very long while I was doing the assessment when I had to bring in a second assessor. Contemplating contacting the board of health because I’m still having issues with my breathing and I’ve been gone from there now three hours.

The only thing that was upsetting was that you had to ask for your room to be cleaned. They didn’t mention that at checking

Convenient for anything downtown Lawrenceburg. Bath tub drain was super slow as it was the last time we stayed here.

Reception was nice and clean, building is a little outdated but still looked nice
