This was our 10th trip to Pearl since 2020. As always Alexis and Vincent my favorite bell boys went above and beyond to make our stay special! They truly are the heart of the resort! Gabi at the pool bar is an absolute angel my husband and I just adore her. She has the kindest, sweetest soul! The resort is under new managment. We had an issue with our room and in 15 minutes Daniel Sanchez, Mayte, and Camila were there to get whatever we needed resolved. You can tell changes are coming but Daniel Sanchez and his associates are freaking AMAZING! The new lobby bar is beautiful, but I am completly devestated that Juan is no longer there. He was the best and made our mornings making the best bloody marys. I hope he can come back!! The new bathrooms in the lobby are very nice, also heard they are going to start renovating the rooms which is much needed. Pedro and DJ Omar at the club really out did themselves this trip! They made our experience unforgetable. Eddie and Yolanda were both not at the pool this trip. Very very dissapointing (they were in aphrodite) They are both a staple at the Pool. Eddie is the best bartender!!!! Yolanda is also an amazing pool waitress!!! I was also pleased to see Eme back at the resort! Antonio (head waiter) was so amazing and made this trip awesome! Javier the groundskeeper is always so pleasant and I love seeing him! Miguel at the pool always make sure we have the seats we want and is awesome!! The new playmakers Jess and Abi are awesome as well! I can't express enough how much we appreciate and adore Alexis, Vincent, Gabi, Yolonda, Eddie, Pedro, DJ Omar, Antonio, Eme, Miguel, Javier, and huge shout out to Daniel Sanchez, Mayte, and Camila!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FOOD, SERVICE, AND STAFF ALWAYS AMAZING!

We have been three times this year and over 30 times over the past 10 years. The staff and other guest make this a great place to go. Only other side of the equation, following the passing of the previous owner, many things have seemed to degrade. Prices have elevated to a point that we are more inclined to look at other places to go. The food is OK but seems to have been standardized again to save on expenses. The culture and environment is not as friendly as it used to be. In general, we are 50-50 on whether we would ever go back to a desire resort. A few years ago, it was the only place we wanted to go. Hopefully, things will stabilize and get back to normal, but as far as the current environment, we will be looking at other vacation locations and would encourage others to do the same thing. I wish we could find a more financially reasonable place where people that want to have fun and not wear clothes could go and enjoy the environment and each other.

Fantastic resort, amazing service, delicious food and LOTS OF FUN! Great location on the beach. Great pool vibe - the playmakers are great. Entertainment, spa services - it’s all fantastic.

Tom and I spent a great week at the Pearl in July 2025. Bellman Alex and Vincent took great care of us on our arrival and departure. Mansion butlers Michelle, Irving and Amir pampered us as always and Carlos, Hector and Erik also made themselves available for any additional help. Mayra from housekeeping keeps our room immaculate. The food under chef Ruben and service at the restaurants was top shelf as usual. The staff at Aphrodite, Edilberto, Maryani, Wilbert, Poot, Ray, Manuela, Oliver, Mildred, Joshua and Eduardo, take great care of us each day. Orlando, Jesus, Belen, Gilberto and Isaac are the best at the Pearl and Ceci, Guillermo, Santiago, Manuel and chef Nicolas make eating at Suki a great experience. Chefs Mary and Danny at the Mansion were also terrfifc. The pool is the place to be during the day and Victor, Horatio, Antonio and Miguel do a great job setting you up. The playmakers Candace and Kia keep everyone involved and Yolanda, Gabi, Servando and Monica keep the drinks coming. Groundskeeper Javier is always working around the pool. The bartenders are great multitaskers. This trip we were served by Luis, Jairo, Eddy, Christian, Luis Lopez, Pedro, Manuel, Aaron, Saul, Eduardo, Cobb and Javier. The spa is the place to be pampered and their staff, Elodia, Emma, Gabriel, Gabriela, Guillermo, Jesus, Rebeca, Selene, Taimi, Zazil, Fernando, Melisa, Claudia, Desiree, Alma and Anais never disappoint. Another wonderful week at Pearl to celebrate my birthday and our anniversary. We love this place. The service at Pearl is far better than anywhere else we have traveled, including Desire RM. We would like to thank the entire staff, especially: Alexis & Vincent (bellmen) Michelle, Carlos, Hector, Irving, Erick (butlers) Kia & Abby (playmakers) Jairo, Luis, and Christian (barmen) May (hostess) Ceci (evening supervisor at Aphrodite; she is amazing) Isaac, Orlando, Gilberto (restaurant servers) Gabi & Servando (pool servers) Victor, Antonio, Miguel, Horacio (pool concierges) Rebeca, Zasil, Emma, Desiree (spa) Camillo & Ivan (mansion housekeeping staff) Alex (DJ) We travel to Pearl in the fall, and RM in the spring. As previously stated, the personalized customer service at Pearl is much better. The food and alcohol is very good at both resorts. The day and night entertainment is very good at both resorts. The other guests at both resorts are super friendly and easy to talk to. The recent upgrades at RM are beautiful. The mansion rooms, the penthouses, and the master suites at Pearl are beautiful. Most of all, this resort is about sharing a week of fun and passion with your partner. If you have never been to the Desire properties, we recommend splitting the week, with 4 days at Pearl and 3 days at RM (or vice versa), to see and experience both. It does not matter what you look like. It does not matter what your age is. It does not matter if you want to stay fully clothed or fully unclothed. It does not matter if you want to engage only with your partner or if you want to engage with others. Try it. You will not regret it.

Staff and food

We had another amazing vacation. The new bar/show area/stage is so beautiful and roomy. The rooms are wonderful as always, and the staff who goes over and above. The food is very good. Everyone including the staff and guests are so friendly. The awesome play makers are the best! These include Mat, Kia, JJ, Jess, Aby, and Tristan. Love them all!
