Desire Pearl Riviera Maya Resort All Inclusive, Exclusively for Couples

The rooms are a bit outdated as is their service. The pool was not very clean and the food was mediocre. You spend most of your time at the pool because the beach was not accessible. The Spa staff walks around the pool most of the day asking for you to get a spa treatment and then the Premier staff come around to try to convince you to buy into their plan. Bracelets are given to you color coded so everyone familiar with colors knows if you’re a 1st timer, been there before, member or mansion owner. People tend to be a bit snobbish and the theme nights and shows are just Ok. We have been to Grand Lido, Caliente, Paradise Lakes and Cap d’agde just to name a few so we know the difference. It left us with no desire whatsoever to return. When we go on vacation we want to be free to do as we wish not have to tell anyone at least 6 times a day “no thank you not interested”. Wasn’t as much fun as we expected.

The grounds are nicely kept and manicured. The rooms are a little outdated. Beach was terrible.

The choice of restaurants was not great. You have 3 restaurants on site which you need reservations for all three. Buffet is only during breakfast and lunch.

Desire Pearl is an excellent adult only resort as it is also clothing optional. There are a variety of rooms types to chose from with varying prices. Being all inclusive you only need to pay extra for activities over and above – like massages, bottles of wine, yacht trips, special meals, etc. Highly recommend using USA Transfer to get to and from the airport ($100) as no transportation is needed after you get to the resort. The main pool is large and deck chairs can be reserved. Pool also has a swim up pool bar – but suggest bringing your own drink holders (like a yeti cup). Three restaurants are available for food. After 4PM most folks move to the large hot tub (also has a swim up bar) where extra-curricular activity is allowed and you can see couples being intimate on the beds around the hot tub or in the hot tub. Upon arrival each couple will be assigned their personal butler who will assist you every day. You will be asked to sit through their sales pitch to become regular members – which is worth it if you plan to visit at least once a year. There is a theme for each night activities so plan to bring appropriate outfits. The nightly floor shows are always enjoyable.

Such a great trip! Mayrani at Aphrodite truly went above and beyond! She decorated the table for my birthday and gave me a special dessert. Victor always made sure our pool loungers were ready and shaded when we wanted. The play makers always create such a fun experience and truly feel like friends. And Selene gave the best massage! Will definitely be going back!

My husband Marco and I live in Las Vegas, so we know a thing or two about great resorts, and Desire Pearl is honestly one of the best we’ve been to. I really recommend it for couples looking for something unforgettable, fun, and a little different. From the moment you arrive, the whole experience goes beyond what you expect. There’s a great daily routine, from relaxing by the pool to trying different restaurants, watching the shows, and joining in on the evening entertainment. Every night has something special, with exotic and acrobatic performances, plus theme nights where everyone dresses up. One of our favorite spots was the big Jacuzzi area. It’s such a fun place to meet people before or after the nighttime festivities. The playmakers are amazing and keep the energy going. Candace, Kia, Largo, Matt, and Jessica were all fantastic. The staff really make the place what it is. Big thanks to Victor at the bar, Edilberto in the restaurant, and Miguel at the pool towel station. Everyone was so friendly and made us feel completely at home. It’s the people who make Desire Pearl so special. From the moment you walk in, you feel that welcoming vibe that makes you want to come back. We can’t wait to return. Highly recommend Desire Pearl for an amazing couples vacation!

Once again an AMAZING experience for my husband and I ! As soon as we arrived we were greeted with "Welcome home" and instantly felt relaxed. Checking in is effortless. We were asked if we were celebrating anything? We were, our wedding anniversary. We stayed in a junior suite, that fit our needs perfectly. Nice and spacious room with a beautiful view. We were surprised with a Happy Anniversary banner across our door and Happy Anniversary spelled out on our bed with rose petals <3. Every morning we were welcomed with big smiles from Miguel, Victor, Antonio and Horacio, and attention to where we prefer to sit around the pool, music side, sun or shade. There are no shortage of activities from easy stretching yoga, beach/pool volleyball, dance classes, or water basketball, because of the amazing playmaker staff, Candace, Abby, Kia, Jess, Matt and JJ. They have the best energy you could ask for. Pool time is a delight, always meeting new people or running into a few from the last visit. Gabi, Sevando and Yolonda are our favorite pool side servers, never leaving us with an empty bottle of water or drink glass. The bar staff is unbelievable. Pedro, Saul ,Eddy, Oscar and Cob are always so attentive and have a drink in hand for us as we approach the bar :) The restaurant staff are such a warm welcome from Mae at the restaurant reception to fantastic service from Orlando, Gilberto, and Wilber never disappoints. Fantastic experience, highly recommended, can't wait to return!

All of these people and more made our vacation the best ever! This is our 7th time here (3rd time this year!) and will continue to come back in the future. Excellent food, most beautiful views, kind and caring staff, nice pools, great place to relax or party if you want, and beautiful grounds. No pressure from anyone. The only downfall is the beach. With all the weather over time, the beach has gotten so much smaller. If you are beach people, may not be the place for you. But if you want everything else, this is the place to be! We spent seven days at Desire Pearl and had a blast. Met lots of great couples and new friends. The staff is the best and work so hard to make your stay worthwhile. All of the playmakers; Candice, Jess, Matt and JJ and all of the rest. The wait and restaurant staff; Gilberto, May & Joe (Joshua) and Gabbi The amazing pool attendants; Victor, Miguel and Antonio. Butlers Carlos & Irving Bartenders; Luis, Christian and Claudia I know I’m forgetting some of the staff but they are all so caring and do their best to make sure that you are having the best stay possible.

The service at Pearl is always amazing and that is what I will be commenting about here. Each and every employee are friendly and helpful. Upon arrival Vicinte and Alexis with his dazzling smile are the first to greet you and quickly get your luggage off board. Then off to check in, a quick and painless process. We check in, drop our bags in our spotless ocean view room, change and hit the pool. Pearl has team of pool/beach concierges. Miguel, Vincent, Horacio, and Antonio are always ready to take you to a poolside “home base” where they set you up with freshly made chairs/beds, towels and shade if desired. Now…here comes the best team of poolside/beach servers ever! Yolanda, Gabby, Serveneo are funny, friendly and quick. We love how they rotate “sides” so you get to see all three of these incredibly hard working people. We ate at all restaurants at one time or another and as expected, the service was wonderful. At Aphrodite Gilbert, Oliver, Ivan, Wilbur and Ceci all deliver excellent service and go above and beyond to make every meal a delight. Upstairs you will find Suki, the Japanese restaurant. Ask for Santiago, he will take excellent care of you. Pearl was friendly and efficient, as always. Finally, the people who make sure everything comes together for an unforgettable experience, the butlers. Hector, Eric, and Carlos are amazing. They seem to be everywhere and nowhere.
