Hotel Fontibon

Just for a lay over is ok, not so good neighborhood staff very friendly, close to the airport taxi should only charge between $15000 and $20000 Colombian pesos

Being one of the oldest neighborhoods (once separate from Bogota) it is expected to be a little run-down. This was a stay over and economy choice for me but I was pleasantly surprised. It was adequate and secure and the surroundings were at first glance misleading. It appears to be in transition - new young professional and families are reclaiming the area. Peppered renovations and new construction are found almost on every street. Convenient enough to airport but far enough to be outside of its direct influence. For my stay over completely adequate and the people very nice.

Stayed here due to flight out next day. Surrounding neighborhood is a little rough but mainly working class neigborhood with cantinas, cafes, markets. Room is very small with small flat screen tv with good cable channels. Shower did not have hot water. Free hot breakfast from 6am - 10am on top deck. Reserve free airport shuttle at front desk. Ride to airport is only 20 minutes, be sure to leave 3 hours before international flights. Tip the driver. Extra person in room or guest is an extra nominal charge. Front desk/bellstaff is nice and professional. Hotel is good value due to hot breakfast and free airport shuttle.

Staff were very accommodating and helpful. Hotel was close to airport in a not very attractive area. Room was dated. Place was noisy. I felt I overpaid for what I received.

The hotel is clean, safe and cheap so it is ideal for an overnight stay after or before a flight. The hotel also provides a free airport shuttle service with limited hours. The neighbourhood is a bit industrial and very very local, there are some bars mainly strip clubs and a shopping mall within walking distance. I felt safe enough but would feel the same if I was with children or a female

A good budget option close to the airport. Rooms are small, but clean. Staff are very friendly and eager to help.

Hotel Fontibon is a very nice hotel, and service is nice. Employees strive to meet all your needs. With that said, the real negative part is the location. This is a business area concentrated on home repairs, etal. First time visitors to Bogota will have much difficulty in navigating, and will result in mandatory taxi use.
