Marlborough Hotel

The breakfast on offer was excellent. Having a bar that also did limited food was good. The beds were comfortable.

Bathroom/shower was very small. Stairs were rather steep. Limited toiletries supplied.

On arrival, the owner was so friendly and helpful, the room was exeptional as was the Hotel, but the Breakfast was realy top rated with a very good selection and the full English Breakfast was great and the staff coul not do enough for you

Breakfast was excellent, so much choice! Breakfast staff really friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Room was lovely, comfy and clean. Location - perfect for the bus station to go travelling around the island. Only a 5 minute walk and you could see the sea and then either take a lovely walk down to the beach or take the lift which was very close. Garden area to sit out in

WiFi wasn't great as it kept dropping out and seem to stop after 8 pm. I didn't realise that the bar served light meals in the evenings, until the last evening - otherwise I would have enjoyed them. So they should promote that more with a menu outside the bar area and in the dinning room where you enjoyed breakfast.

When I first arrived I thought it looked a little tired BUT it seems to suit the hotel. Old photos etc around. Comfortable chairs to relax on everywhere. Parking was always easy. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was brilliant. Staff very accommodating and a very good English breakfast and buffet. No noise was ever heard from any of the other rooms or people coming in and out.

Aircon could do with a look at. Fortunately we took our own fans so not really a problem.

Loved the location,staff are so so lovely,breakfast was delicious - thanks for making our stay a great one ,we will be back :)
