The hotel itself was as good as it could be. Pity about the no WiFi in rooms, but thanks for the whiskey in the porridge.

"The perfect romantic getaway"

10th anniversary with my girlfriend. Chose the Mustard Seed as the perfect location to propose. John and all the staff were exceptional and could not do enough for us. Very genuinely friendly and helpful.

"A little gem"

This is a unique, one of a kind place that is full of charm. Lots of places to sit and read and relax. The grounds and gardens are lovely. The dinner and breakfast were the best of our trip.

"Last stop before Shannon"

We were finishing our two week honeymoon and wanted to find a lovely place within easy drive of the airport in Shannon. We had heard about the wonderful food at the Mustard Seed and stayed there for our final two nights, before the 45 minute drive to the airport.

"Lovely country hideaway"

Had a fantastic stay at The Mustard Seed. From the moment we pulled in the gate, the property impressed. House is impressive with lovely gardens. Welcome by John was warm and welcoming. Service level by all staff was friendly and professional. Room was excellent with nice large bathroom. Dinner in the restaurant was exceptional. Would definitely stay here again.

What can you say when the owner approaches you to personally ask how everything is going (and is sincere about it). All staff were friendly and personable. A place where you just want to stay and forget about all else (and are able to do it!) Great gardens. Relaxing.

"Exceptional"

The hotel, the gardens, the room were excellent. The food was very excellent. The only slightly negative issue was the lack of consistent wifi....probably not good enough in this day and age. Having said that, it was a marvellous venue, I would definitely go back again, and I would recommend it to my friends and colleagues.
