Avra City Boutique Hotel

Beautifully appointed, elegant, and spotlessly clean hotel. The entire Staff works as an excellent team whose sole aim is to ensure that each and every guest is treated with respect, friendliness courtesy, and kindness, they share local good knowledge and information and NOTHING is too much trouble for them, THEY ARE AMAZING . Perfect location for the Old Town, Bus Station, Harbour, Restaurants, Shops, and road networks. Fresh produce and excellent choices are available in plenty for breakfast, and indoor and outdoor seating is available to enjoy your feast, at your leisure. Highly recommended, I had a wonderful stay.

The hotel is a very chic establishment, very clean and with marble floors with a minimalist theme, which we liked. also the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room, a Junior Suite was one of two larger rooms in the hotel, with a separate sitting area, a large bathroom with walk-in shower and a walk-in closset. all good so far! Breakfasts were fine with reasonable choice. There is no restaurant but there are numerous choices in Chania, so this wasnt a problem. Now the problems:- 1. The room was on the front of the hotel and across the road is a bar where young people meet till late at night / early morning. The loud noise from music and motorbikes revving was horrendous and sometimes continued till aroud 3.00AM. 2. The illuminated signs above the hotel main entrance were sited above and below our balcony and the window blinds were not heavy enough to block out the light, which also disturbed our sleep. 3. We were happy that the hotel has an underground car park until we were told that if we used our rental car during the day, the hotel could not guarantee that a garage space would be available on our return. We therefore were forced to use buses for fear of not being able to park our car again if we left our garage space. Parking on the street in Chania is virtually impossible - very difficult to find a place! Apart from the above, we enjoyed our stay in Chania. If you stay at Avra City Hotel, don't book the Junior Suite on the front, book the one at the side, overlooking the park, or any of the other rooms and you will enjoy your stay at this very friendly and classy hotel.

Lovely, clean hotel. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds and beautifully appointed amenities. Staff were excellent, very friendly and so professional. Helped in every way they could. Went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Location was excellent and close to all sights and shopping in Chania. Added bonus was underground parking station. Would highly recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay again. Thank you Avra Hotel.

hotel was very clean and modern. About a 10-15 minute walk to the main attraction Chania Harbor. There are free parking spaces available. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room had a balcony which allowed smoking. Quite at night.

Excelente place to stay , very clean and the best people working very hard

We only stayed one night - as a stop after a late flight and before heading off to a further destination - but it was a great stay. Really friendly staff, great breakfast, comfortable, spacious room with lovely bathroom, and the bonus of free on-sight parking. The hotel is very near the old town sights and restaurants, so really handy whether a short visit or longer stay.

We arrived at the hotel late night (1am) and the greeting of the front of house was very friendly. Our room was perfect, mini bar (which does charge), iron, slippers, robes complimentary. Very clean. For a city hotel it is very quiet. The reason for the 4* is due to the breakfast although it was fresh and nice there was not much variety. I think they should expand on this if possible. Apart from the aforementioned the hotel was perfect as it is very close to Chania city and old town. Very comfy and will reccomend. Thank you.

Beautiful hotel and very kind staff. The rooms were perfect; the beds were comfortable, the bathroom wasn’t too small and there was enough space to fit all your stuff. When you needed anything the staff at the reception was always ready to assist you. I will definitely book Avra again when I visit Chania in the future. The location was very convenient as well since it is close to the harbor and city centre.

This hotel has superior customer service. It’s located in the perfect location to visit central Hania.
