The Redhurst Hotel

Staff were all absolutely excellent and the design is very good, but sound-proofing is poor and a very loud event in the function room below me kept me up very late. Design of the rooms is a little under-baked with heavy bathroom doors that jam and leaky showers, clearly refurbished recently to a high standard but lacking forethought. Breakfast is served pretty late in the morning compared to other hotels so business travel might be an issue for some. Price is fair for what you get.

The staff at this hotel are amazing, kind, professional and very efficient. We stayed there for a funeral, not the happiest of times, but Chris , the manager, did everything he could to make our stay excellent, even down to cooking us a late breakfast! The wake was also held in the hotel (for a huge number of people) and the food was superb. The staff in the bar, including a new recruit of only 5 days (Duncan, Douglas? so sorry) were very attentive, bringing drinks and snacks whenever they were needed. Chris obviously trains them all very well. They all seem a very happy team too! The room was comfortable too!!

Family meal yesterday at the Redhurst . Food such poor quality . Overpriced Service staff front of house excellent & managed our complaint very well . The quality of the food is far from the price point . Sparse use of ingredients to maximise profit margins . Note another 1 star review from yesterday .

We cannot recommend The Redhurst Hotel as a wedding venue highly enough! From start to finish, the professionalism, care and attention to detail they gave to our wedding was outstanding. Becky, one of their coordinators, was an absolute dream. She managed every detail, took on every request with ease and answered all of our many questions along the way truly making the entire process stress-free. On the day itself, Chris, our host and MC, was incredible—calm, organised, and completely focused on making sure we were comfortable and that everything ran smoothly. He worked around us effortlessly, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy our special day. The food was also top quality, and all of our guests couldn’t stop raving about it (especially the brownies)! A special mention to their DJ, Colin, who was unbelievably affordable and went above and beyond by researching and preparing music to cater to our diverse group of guests. He ensured that everyone, regardless of their background, had an amazing time on the dance floor. We also can’t rave enough about The Garden Room honeymoon suite which is like a real escape to paradise. Absolutely stunning with the decor, hot tub and other little touches like make your own cocktails ready for our arrival. We were so impressed with how everything was handled, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you're looking for a wedding venue that truly takes care of you, The Redhurst Hotel is the perfect choice!

Just back from having lunch at the restaurant. Food and service were absolutely appalling. My cauliflower fritters were rock hard and the chargrilled chicken was as dry as a bone. Huge wait between starter and main course. I had heard good things about the newly refurbished hotel so was keen to try it out but won't be back.

Attended for a wedding. The ballroom for functions was excellent, the perfect size, well decorated and with a good sized dance floor. Our room was perfect - whilst not huge, no space was wasted and we didn't feel cramped. Nice sized shower too which is always a plus, no bashing my elbows whilst washing my hair! Bed nice and comfortable. The staff were all very pleasant and professional and helped us with everything we needed. No complaints, I'd happily stay again :)

Function suite - venue amazingly beautiful, food excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff to make my daughters 21st a very memorable night. Attention to detail in every aspect. From the start of the journey booking the venue, Becky could not have been more helpful and Lorraine made sure that everything went smoothly on the night, she was exceptional. Impeccably clean, superbly appointed, warm and comfortable room. Amazing food in the restaurant and incredibly friendly and helpful staff. And this is clearly a super venue for events and weddings. But beware if you’re a business traveller after some peace and quiet and a good night’s sleep after a long day at work. On one evening I did the quiz night from the comfort of my room as I could hear everything through the floor of my room from the bar below. And, worse still, on the Friday night thumping drum and bass music emanating from The Grand Ballroom for four hours until one o’clock in the morning. Not great if you’ve been up since 5am and need to get up at 5am the next day. No word of a warning in advance. The paper thin walls where you can almost hear every word from neighbouring rooms was nothing compared with the wall-shaking booming from across the car park. If you’re coming here to party you’ll have a brilliant time, especially if it’s a wedding or party and you’re staying over. But for £150 a night I’m not sure I’ll be back when I get a Good Night Guarantee at Premier Inn and total silence.

Freshly refurbished hotel throughout, every room and facility has been updated. Great bar and restaurant with helpful staff. will defiantly re book if we are in the area again.

Staying here now, paid a canny bit. If you want a good nights sleep don't bother. Horrendous music played till after 1am. Pointless and ridiculous. Don't tell you that before sticking you in a room directly above bar playing it. Walls paper thin can here absolutely everything in other rooms. Room 14 fighting and spewing up everywhere it would seem. Avoid
