Location was great. Staff friendly.

Run down inside. Lightbulb missing in main bedroom and curtain faulty. Shower was difficult for my 74 year old mother to get out off as had a big step in and out. No fan in bathroom. Tap in bathroom sink was very noisy maybe the plumbing. Could not access tvnz on demand or Netflix so nothing to watch on tv. No welcome booklet on table to describe the property or about the unit. Only had a carnival brochure on the table.

My unit was inexpensive compact and cosy. My bed was comfortable and a heater kept the unit toasty warm. The unit was equipped with crockery and cutlery, a kettle, toaster and microwave oven. I also had Honey, the motel's gorgeous kitty spend some time with me

Nothing in particular. I had a late morning flight from Timaru and I never like to tempt fate by driving 80km on the morning I'm booked to fly out. The Anchor motel was in a good location and was inexpensive.

Just a short walk from the centre of Timaru. The room was a standalone unit that was more than comfortable for a solo traveller. Friendly staff too!
