Le Friquet Country Hotel

The hotel is lovely with a classic but contemporary feel. The room was excellent and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and efficient. It is centrally located but the entry is difficult to see from the road, we drove past it initially.

The reception was prompt and knowledgeable. My room was ready despite being slightly earlier than the advertised check in time. Ample parking as well (which you do have to be mindful of when visiting Guernsey). The public areas in the bedroom area were clean but you do have to be mindful that it is an old building so inevitably staircases and floorboards do creak a bit. The room was clean with a very nice and modern bathroom. I got the impression that my room had recently been updated but some of the furniture (desk and wardrobe), although perfectly adequate, were a little tired. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillow. Standard tea and coffee in room but would have liked a decaf tea option rather than just decaf instant coffee. However, the rooms represent decent value for money. The best part for me was the restaurant. Modern with great seafood, great service and a very good wine selection.

Nice little room great pillows quiet location great breakfast and service. Only small annoyance was the bathroom door didn't close but was in a single room so wasn't a big concern. Other then that a nice hotel for a long weekend away

Problem arose as both staff and possibly guests used the area outside our room as their smoking location. When we wanted to open our window we were greeted with smoke fumes on a number of occasions during our stay. A shame really when you had paid close on £1000 for a ‘ smoke free room’

Staff were very attentive. Lovely clean hotel, good food with pleasant surroundings.
