The Tavern - Steakhouse and Lodge

Lovely food in pub and great selection of drinks at a reasonable price, very clean in the pub and our room spotless, excellent service from the staff felt at home straight away.

The stairs to our room, but we were in the top room with booking late. Next time we will have a lower floor with not being as young as we used to be.

Location was perfect. Bathroom new and clean. Nice to have a fridge.

Would have liked a window to the outside. Bed was not the most comfortable.

LI’m got airy room. Quite basic but very clean and comfy bed. Good value for money.

Basic room in pub

The staff were lovely and the location is ideal.

The tv was very dated and so didn't watch it during our stay. The bed was very uncomfortable, especially because it was 2 singles put together. The shower was scorching hot and unmanageable.

Clean, comfortable room. The one I’d booked had no window, which I hadn’t realised. On arrival I found I’d been upgraded. The room had a small fridge and tea and coffee making facilities.

Bathroom needed towel rail, hooks and tumblers for water. Some mould in corner of shower. Breakfast (left in the room) was a cellophane wrapped croissant and chocolate covered waffle and orange juice in the fridge.
