The Tavern - Steakhouse and Lodge

Great location, great food, kind and helpful staff.

Absolutely loved our stay at The Tavern. Location couldn't be better, room was comfy and spacious and the staff were welcoming and kind. Would 100% recommend

The shower didn't work properly, very difficult to set it to the right temperature

A lot of steps to room in loft and no lift available.

Location and fridge with free cold drinks. Staff were really friendly.

Wasn't as clean as it could have been. Peeling wallpaper/paint, tiny toilet/shower with a shelf that was titled so couldn't leave bathroom products in it. Staircase smelled foisty.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food at the tavern was excellent!

Breakfast was not provided . A tin of squash and a pastry in a packet were left in the room .

The carpets on the stairs were tired and need renovation. Some windows were difficult to open.

Easy to find, easy free overnight parking (once we had asked the staff to explain the system, and they gave us a token for the windscreen)

Narrow stairs to the top floor room, slightly quirky room with the windows at floor level: this was linked to being on the top floor, I think

The staff were lovely especially the bar staff

Unfortunately tge room not as described smell of dogs up the stairs lots of stairs to our room on entering the room very mall and it was a family room damp marks on the ceiling very old rotton wood around the windows ,the table woth tge fridge on to shabby cheap bots of it hanging from one side on entering smelt urine towel holder came off the hook canvas not clean beside tge shower mould around tge grouting inside tge shower also shower not powerful enough tools while to get the right temperature will not stay here again Infact think I should have money reimbursed as this was not satisfactory for me and my partner
