Service, staff and food excellent. Was given a free upgrade to a bigger room.

A bit pricey at £85 per night considering the rooms were in need of some redecoration. A power cut so couldn't get hair dried and styled

Staff were lovely. Food in the restaurant was excellent, it was a very nice bar.

Where to start!! Room was dreadful, very cramped. Wash-hand basin on a unit in the room which was unnecessary. Fridge in the middle of the floor. No bedside light. No outside window which we were aware of but high window onto the corridor with lights on all night. See 4 am photo. Had a nice bathroom if only they had bothered to finish it. No way was it worth £85 a night. Avoid room 5 at all costs.

We were well looked after - overnight secure storage for our bikes and several local breakfast recommendations.

Very good location, plenty of restaurants and cafes close by. Close to Castle and gardens. Staff were very friendly and helpful, restaurant excellent

Room was disappointing, quite small. Very small shower/toilet. All in need of an upgrade. Was warm enough only because weather was mild. Radiator reached lukewarm at best, which wouldn't be effective in colder weather.

Location and nice bar downstairs. Free parking if you play your cards right

Bathroom a bit pokey

Room was spacious and clean. Nice touch with the complimentary croissants etc.

I know it was midweek but the bar had already closed by 10.10pm when we got back to the hotel

Lovely warm friendly greeting from staff. The room was clean and spacious. Nothing fancy, just exactly what you would expect
