Windsor Hotel & Restaurant

Loved this sweet old hotel, recently refurbished! Was a great place to stay and dine while in the area to see the sandhill cranes on their migratory path.

This is an old 'grand dame' of a hotel that has been lovingly and expertly restored. Walking into an 1873 hotel that looks as nice as it can get is a true joy. The front desk staff was pleasant and informative. Walking around the hallways and sitting rooms shows a wealth of history and beauty. And then there is the fantastic restaurant with its amazing wine, cocktail, beer, cider and NA drink list. I would highly encourage a stop here if you have the time to appreciate it and not hurry onward.

Everything was perfect

This is an amazing place, with a wonderful story of how it was saved from the wrecking ball. They also have great service and food.

The condition of this 1874 motel was above the standards of most of the upper chain hotels we stay at.

Nothing, they paid attention to detail

There was so much to like about the property, but the room was very small. I would not recommend if your stay necessitates spending a lot of time in the room, which was the case with myself.

Beautiful Gem! Fully restored 150 year old hotel. 5 Star eating. Tempura artichokes! Everything was enjoyable.
