A bit smelly but overall it was okay. Limited parking, first come first basis.

There is no refridgerator inside. The bed is not really good. There is water inside the kettle when we reach there. It is really disgusting.

No windows except the idiot box, the window to the world. No way to air the room at all, so it smelled like stale. Bed was comfortable, shower adequate. If you're a budget traveller, then this room is fine. It's just out of town so it's a bit of walk to the Old Town, but there's some kopitiams near by and a delightful Dimsum place. We took an Uber around. Staff were friendly and were waiting for us for the late check-in.

You get a good price, a good location (close to Pranghin mall & Komtar) and they have friendly staff. This is also a clean hotel. Georgetown is about 2km wide by 2 km long. The hotel is "almost" in the middle. So, it is a good location when you like to walk.

Receptions nice, rooms very glooming and don't feel so clean. No even a fridge inside. Air con was there somewhere, but wasn't the best. The bathroom, shower and toilet the best part, clean and good water flow. The Worst things, wifi... truly the worst I have experienced and they should be embarrassed. Didn't even load a page. One important thing you need to check, my windows were locked, meaning if there happened to be a fire outside my room and I could not have escaped, a good chance I wouldn't make it out

The receptionist is friendly; you have to make 30RM deposit if you stay here, not a problem. The problem start when I go to the room, room is so dirty, so I complaint but the bell boy said, that's all they got. Finally I request for another room, the new room is better but unfortunately the electrical outlet is not working. I try to ask for repair since I need to recharge my mobile phone but he said "you could use our electrical outlet at the receptionist"; oh my... Sleep quality is really bad, you can hear when someone walking at the corridor. The bathroom provides both hot and cold water. Beware not to leave any sweets on the small table in the room, I left my snacks for couple hours (going out for shopping) only to find so many ants. In the next morning, I saw how the cleaning service clean the room carpet (the floor), they don't use vacuum cleaner, instead she only used broom stick; so how will you expect to get clean floor? I am concerned that they also employ a very old woman to be cleaning service. I stayed 4 days on this hotel, can't move to the other since I already booked and paid in advance. The first reason I choose this hotel because It is so close to the Loh Guan Lye hospital. If you plan to visit Penang with your family, better choose other hotels, there are many hotels around with same price but cleaner. Like many other reviewers, I would say, the internet is really bad, never expect to get free wifi here.

I spent 2 days while doing my visa run in Penang. Budget hotel with the minimum services. Rooms are clean enough, hot water, TV, A/C and yes,a terrible WiFi, although I have o say it gets better at night, late night. Don't have own restaurant but give you a complimentary breakfast in the hotel next to them. Bus to Downtown just on the other side of the road, which is very convenient. BUT no way back buses so you either take a taxi or walk (about 20-30 minutes from Little India).

I decide to choose Grand Inn Hotel, Penang because it close to Loh Guan Lye Hospital that I should check up. Why I said it was bad experience : 1. The room is not like in the photos show 2. Smell of smoke inside room 3. The wifi is trouble, i should go to some coffee shop to do my work because there is trouble with hotel wifi 4. The toilet water is off 5. There is no mineral water compliment 6. There is no hair dryer inside 7. The very bad thing is : I've found a bread inside the toilet desk, i guess it leave by previous guest, and I assume the cleaning service didn't clean everything well. Well, i'll never came back here again, I prefer to choose G Inn, more far from the hospital, but only 3 minutes and the price is same, but they deliver more good service and quality. Thanks
