Grand Inn

Poor service due to no manpower. Took me around 15 mins for the check-in. Booked 3 rooms but only prepared us 2 rooms. Dunno where went wrong! Noisy guests at 2230 hours to 2330 hours and we made several complaints to the staffs

There are three different Grand Inn Hotel in Penang and the one at Macallister Road is the hotel that I visited. It has free parking lot, friendly staff who’ll help you with whatever you need and very convenient to drive around the city. Yes, I said drive because walking from this hotel to Georgetown city is not really advisable even though technically everything is very close to each other.

Wifi so slow and sometimes hard to connect

Overall good stay except the wifi never worked once you leave the reception area.

Not near to shopping center n local foods,have to walk quiet far away

I stayed here for 2 nights. It is close to island hospital (around 10-15mins walk). The room was in a good size. I booked the family room for 4 ppl with 2 queen size beds. The bed is really comfortable and i had a good night here. Also, the water pressure in the bathroom was really strong (it's a good thing). But there were not many restaurants around the hotel and the wifi is poor. Overall it was a good stay with a good price.

Nice room. Quiet. Comfortable. Though minimal desk space. Note tourism tax not included in hotels.com quote. A bit far from Georgetown.

Wifi is not strong enough.

It's a good hotel with a good price for service apartment. The room was clean and it has AC and hot/cold water as well in the bathroom. It has water dispenser in each floor, so whenever you need hot water for coffee or noodles, you just need to take it from the dispenser. Good internet connection also, but in the night somehow the wifi connection is lost. Overall it's good hotel, for the traveler who look for low budget hotel.

bathroom is bigger that expected. provide water dispense outside the room. parking is limited. aircon tv ok. wifi ok.
