Hotel Albemarle Galapagos Beachfront

This was a wonderful, ocean-front property in the tiny village of Puerto Villamil on Isabela Island. The hotel manager, Ana, was absolutely fabulous. She could not have been more personable. She helped arrange tours and meals and made sure that we always felt at home. It was such a beautiful boutique hotel with the cozy feeling of home. It's a very small island with limited hotel offerings. I do not think there is a better place to stay. This property had a very nice breakfast, large rooms with ocean views, a small swimming pool, a sun terrace and the friendliest staff we experienced in the Galapagos.

This hotel is wonderful! The staff is very friendly and is extremely accommodating! Anna is very sweet and will treat you like family. Highly recommend staying here where there is a beautiful beach right outside. Our room was beautiful and large and very comfortable. There's hot water and they provide water, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate 24 hours. We really wished we could stay longer due to the amazing hospitality!

Beachfront property. Close to dock (taxi @ $1 per person). Clean room and bathroom. Staff cordial, friendly and very accommodating. Buffet breakfasts included. Close to restaurants and shops.

The property is beautiful and charming set with bougainvilleas. They have an inner courtyard with a pool and a dining and lounging area. Additionally, they have 2 more areas on the top floors to lounge. The manager, Sabrina welcomed us, she is so knowledgeable about the area and extremely helpful about restaurant choices and where to go for tours. The rest of the staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. They lugged our bags up the stairs to a beautiful room with a veranda facing the ocean. Breakfast is sweet and healthy and everything is clean and covered. They filter their own water, so it is safe. I don’t know that I’d end up on Isabela Island again, but this would be my first choice.

Good location, good breakfast however never had time to enjoy it due to tours breakfast should start earlier, no windows with fly screens so I was bitten by mosquitoes every night, It was a beautiful set up however it’s a bit overpriced.

We stayed there for two nights. Beach view. Totally unacceptable price for such poor hotel - $265 per night. There were nothing in our room - no TV, no phone, no WI-FI connection. Reunion with nature. The location is great - on the beach, however, it isn't worth it. In the bathroom two vanities don't have the handles for the hot water. When my husband asked how to shave using cold water, the girl answered that she doesn't shave. Really? In the shower you need to jump force and back trying to get into the comfortable temperature. Poor hot water and shower. Breakfast. You are not going to be hungry but don't expect any pleasure from it. Nothing exceptional. On our last day before leaving at 2:00 pm by boat, we decided to use a pool. It was a big mistake! I couldn't get rid of chlorine smell for a few days. Go to Iguana Crossing Hotel for the same price and much,much better conditions.

We all are disappointed as to the way we were said, that there is no chance for us to hold one room for few hour extra to safely store our very precious travel documents. Our sincere request definitely should have been treated properly
