Etango Ranch Guestfarm

The lodge is only 1 kilometer from the Airport which is great if you fly in late. It is however more like an Inn rather than a Hotel. I suppose the best way to describe it would be a ranch. We where to late for supper which was included in the price, but I think that the place is to expensive for what you get. I will rather travel the extra 40Km and stay in Windhoek

We enjoyed our short stay. Great dinner provided. Booked online and paid at time of booking and have had issues with them saying booking was not paid. Great place if you are flying out of Windhoek as it is 5" from the airport.

Great food, good service, good price on a picturesque location

Pros: Very convenient location for those with an early flight from Windhoek airport (only a couple minutes away). Excellent customer service. Meals included were a great convenience - since everyone staying there had early flights (before 9am), they packed breakfast for everyone. Note that dinner is served with all guests staying at the lodge at the same time (two other couples, when we stayed in August). Nice to get to know others; although some may find this inflexible for timing. Food itself was great though. Cons: Accommodation was clean, but for the price, was not quite as nice as I expected (e.g. older furnishings, finishings). There was not quite enough hot water for a normal shower for either of us (one took it before dinner, one after dinner). Transfer to the airport wasn't included and cost an extra eighty rand per person. Overall, a convenient place to stay.

Warm and considerate hosting from all the staff. This lodge is ideally situated for access to airport - late flights in and early flights out. Location is outstanding as is the service. We had to leave before breakfast, and were given a packed breakfast without even requesting one. Tea/coffee facilities in the room.

Etango was great! We were flying our adult daughter back to the States, and they took care of her in every way. She was very impressed!

Kind of expected a cheap and dirty motel style accommodation but not at all. The welcome is warm, the situation is great and the rooms clean and well set out. Food was good too. We only stayed for one night as we were only passing through via Windhoek airport but I would have happily stayed there longer.

If you are looking to stay close to the airport, this is the place to be. A quiet oasis 5-10 minutes from your terminal. The rooms are clean, meals are quite good, and service is excellent.

We stayed for one night after arriving by air. The hotel is very close to the airport (though not top noisy due to the limited number of flights into/out of WDH) and yet already feels 'farm-like' as so often in Namibia. The hosts were very nice, the food (dinner and breakfast) very very good and the rooms nice. Definitely recommendable for a stay of 1 or a few nights when arriving into or leaving Windhoek.

Only one night but had a lovely dinner with a view of mountains and sunset and lovely quiet peaceful surroundings. Coming together with other guests during dinner is a great opportunity to meet people from all over the world. Staff very friendly, helpful and kind. Thank you
