Escario Central Hotel

Excellent and rewarding choice for any short-term visitor of Cebu. Friendly, discreet and helpful staff, patches of green nature everywhere around, was a bit sleepy during my stay there because the place really feels like a peaceful and quiet oasis. Great places to eat and chill out only a few metres away, one of the famous lechon restaurants in Cebu around the corner of the parking lot, the Wi-Fi connection was also fast and reliable. Don't regret the pick of Escario Central Hotel at all, and would gladly repeat it next year.

The only downside was locating the hotel for the first time. Taxi drivers are not always familiar with it, even though they know the area. Once you get to the right block, you will find it fast. The entrance is behind a new retail-restaurant complex - look for the HUGE billboards and signs!! Walk from your room to a wonderful assortment of restaurants without even getting to the street. The rooms resemble cute private cottages, and they have AC, are clean, and are very comfortable! We loved our time at Escario Central, with our only regret being that we had not booked a longer stay with them!! I strongly recommend visiting Escario Central for your Romantic Getaway.

Escario Central is a bungalow type of housing with some gardens at the side. It gives a relaxing ambiance. The orange bedroom offers 2 comfortable queen-sized beds with an adequate room space. The bathroom is clean but quite dated which can be improved. Concierge service was efficient. There are restaurants a few minutes within the vicinity and a 7-11 store, which makes it convenient for guests. Overall satisfied with our stay considering our budget.

The hotel is modern and generally in great condition except for the wifi, which failed on the last day. We stayed in an Orange room. The design is simple and functional, with no extra frills. The beds really are as good or better than the hotel website description, and everything was clean. However the best feature is the helpfulness of the front desk management. I lost my air ticket on the last day, and the Front desk staff spent more than half an hour helping me resolve this. Really good!

A very quiet and clean place. Each room has 2 beds, an A/C and TV but no extra perks. There are at least a half dozen restaurants of various foods and price ranges available within walking distance as well as a 7/11 for minor purchases. We stayed twice, each time for 2 days. Our second room (room 120) had a small hole in the wall behind the bathroom sink so we had ants. Since they don't bite, I didn't care as every tropical country has bugs. But, I did forget to mention it to management. In my observation, the hotel is quick to fix problems and stay on top of regular maintenance. So, I feel that once they read this comment, they will have the hole repaired ASAP.

I stayed in an Orange Room for 3 nights. The pros: * New hotel, clean. * Good location, adjacent to Escario Central Plaza, with a 7-11, a 24-hour McDonalds, and other cafes. It's a 5-min taxi ride to Ayala Center. * Super efficient AC, cools the room in 3 minutes. * Great and free wi-fi, no dropped connection in 3 days. * Ample closet space * ok, basic, no frills bathroom, with plenty of hot water in the shower. * Good friendly service from the staff. The cons: * Not a single chair in the room(!) even though there is plenty of empty space, and the room is intended for 1-4 people. Trying to use your laptop becomes an adventure. * No mini fridge, which frankly is inexcusable in the Philippines. * The hotel's distinguishing feature becomes its liability. The cabana/bungalow-type rooms, even though away from the deafening traffic outside, suffer from the internal "people" traffic just outside your room, whether it's the guests or the room cleaning staff. And the thin walls and a huge window facing the common area don't help either. Don't plan on sleeping late here. Overall, for only 2-3 days it's a good option.

clean, modern effiient bussiness hotel in the lower middle class range. Airo noisy and of poor quality. Price/quality is OK.

A little far from the city, but nice rooms.

Very nice and new hotel. Well maintained. Helpful staff. Super comfy beds. Right next to 7eleven and Mc Donald's. No problem for taxi drivers to find. I would recommend.
