The Sun Inn

The welcome was great, the owners were very friendly and made time to chat. The pub was very busy with a mixture of locals and people staying locally on holiday, it had a nice countryside vibe with the log fire burning. The room was a good size and the shower was hot and powerful. The included breakfast was very nice, a solid fry up with cereal and fruit options. The pub meal in evening was delicious too, and not badly priced.

The room definitely feels dated, it could do with updating with a fresh coat of paint and new decor. The bathroom was carpeted which was a bit weird! The bed was very comfy though. There wasn't any decaf coffee in the bedroom. The lights weren't all working either, the wall lights had had the bulbs removed meaning the only light was a ceiling light directly over the bed

Great host and staff. Room very comfortable and well equipped with generous complimentary treats. Breakfast was great. Bike was securely stored.

The rooms were well provisioned and cosy. Little things like chocolate bars and a good selection of tea bags are always appreciated. The staff were very attentive and the hot breakfast included and made for me fresh (not just left in a bane marie) reprisents the best of the english style of hostelry, now dissapearing to Travel Lodges and Ibis Inns.

Very pleasant twin room , sparkling clean.

There was nothing to dislike , all was well.
