Great hotel very clean and good value for money although breakfast sandwiches could be better

Very friendly traditional pub with a homely and spacious room/bathroom. Dog was welcome and we all slept really well and enjoyed the great breakfast! Parking on the street outside was easy and there is a handy short dog walk across the road. Excellent value for money.

My bedroom had everything you would want. Kettle plenty of coffee and tea but no decaff coffee. Slippers nice touch. Nice homely traditional bar.

The room was expensive at £150 for the night but I booked it so my choice. Bathroom clean and compact but a bit dated but it doesn't stop you making yourself clean Service was good and the landlord and landlady very helpful. Had a nice meal with fellow friends. Possible the fact that only on street parking is available will put some people off ,but we found space just across the road

Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt absolut. Wir hatten zwei Zimmer, beide waren sauber, die Betten bequem. Der Inhaber war freundlich und unkompliziert, das Frühstück gut. Das Pub im Untergeschoss gemütlich. Auf der Straße gegenüber ein weiteres, altes Pub. In wenigen Minuten ist man mit dem Auto in Hexham City.

Very welcoming and friendly staff that made us feel like we were in a home away from home. Very large room which was lovely and comfortable with a smart TV and excellent tea tray selection. Great quality and tasty breakfast in an excellent location.

Needs updating but we enjoyed the old familiar feeling in the property. Everything else was perfect.
