A lovely old pub in a small village. Handy location close to many tourist spots. Comfortable, spotlessly clean room. Super friendly and helpful staff. We had dinner which was delicious. Breakfast was included in the booking, there was plenty of choice for cooked breakfast, continental was also available.

Just fyi, this is a very old building as a result it creaks and groans, which is quaint or annoying depending on your opinion. Also there is a bar directly below so there may be the expected noise. To help with this earplugs are provided. Neither of these things were an issue for us but less understanding people may have an issue.

I was on a cycle weekend with my dad. We booked the family suite. From the moment we arrived after a long day cycling we were greeted by our host Daniela who was friendly and helpful from the start. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was clean spacious and bright. The shower facilities were spot on. Hot water complimentary towels and toiletries. Lovely addition of coffee and teas and chocolate biscuits! A fridge if needed. Telly. Comfy beds kick back and relax. The setting is really nice as Acomb is a quiet village nestling at the top of the valley overlooking Hexham. The food was excellent. The bar, well stocked. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice. The full English was just the ticket. We will definitely return on our next adventure. Thank you Daniela and all the staff at the Sun Inn. Bravo! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

A great place to stay, with excellent evening meals & beers, a hearty breakfast, & friendly owners. Plenty of free on-street parking, other local pubs within easy walking distance, & a perfect base for exploring the wider area. Really good price too - excellent value, & highly recommended :)

The owners were welcoming and friendly; great locarion in a lovely, quiet village. Breakfast included in the price was a bonus, making it exceptional value for money. I didn't use tte public bar facilities as only staying for one night, I rested in my roomafter the busy training course that I had been on that day.

I was in room 2 and shared a bathroom with other guests-tuat was fine. However, I could hear the guests in room 1 as if they were having a conversation in my room: they appewred to be in lengthy telephone conversations. This was very off putting for me. I noticed that there were ear plugs in my room, so guessed that this had been raised previously. Other than that, perfect for what I required.

A very nice stay. The Inn was easy to find and had plenty of parking outside. The room was sizeable, and the hosts were warm and welcoming. There was good food available, and some scenic countryside nearby. Would stay here again next time I am in the area.
