Bellevue Guest House

A lovely place to stay in the beautiful Scottish Borders. I was made very welcome and the two hosts went out of their way to help - offering advice on places to eat and willingly providing an early breakfast on the Sunday morning. Breakfast was excellent with all locally sourced fresh ingredients. Room was very comfortable, really clean and quiet. Would highly recommend Bellevue.

Lovely house, easy walking distance to eating/pubs/shopping/river walks and around Kelso. Parking on site. Host was great and most welcoming/accommodating/helpful. We ate in town and visited Floors Castle and Mellerstain house. Both worth a visit. Lovely breakfast ....... lovely hot tea/breakfast which was very much appreciated. En-suite twin room had everything we needed.

Attention to detail required on the dusting/cleaning mostly above eye level. Bit of decluttering required.

Shower room was cramped and pathetic shower. Bed was very small and fell out once.

Our stay was unique. The breakfast was minimum and not described on the menu. We had a bowl of porridge and and a slice of toast. No cooked breakfast was offered. As described in on the Internet booking. Both of us bitten by bugs in the bedroom. The bedding wasn't fresh on the bed. The bedroom was dusty with cobwebs. And cluttered with furniture. So we couldn't move around easily. There was a terrible smell coming from the toilets. In the hallway & first landing. We were lucky to move to a better place for the week we were in Kelso. A lovely appartment 🙂👷

A waste of money. Not as described in advert. A very uncomfortable place to stay in my opinion. Rooms too cluttered. Kettle in room missing an upto date test sticker. Last tested in 2009.
