Welcoming host and great breakfast

The room was overcrowded, as was the breakfast room

We had a great couple of nights here. There was parking at the rear of the property and only a short walk into the town square. The house itself was very characterful and our host Graham was lovely and helpful about things to do and see in the local area. Breakfast was freshly cooked and used local ingredients.

The en suite was very small but functional and the shower worked well.

Close to border union showground.. Owner was very helpful and very welcoming. Tea and coffee making facilities in room..

Not much room in the toilet and shower. No shelf in shower to put products. or hooks in shower room to hang clothing.. The sink is in the bedroom .

We have just returned home after a delightful stay at the Bellevue. This is a perfect place to enjoy the lovely town of Kelso. The River Tweed walk and the magnificent grounds and gardens of Floors Castle. The owners, Hilary and Graham, are a delightful couple who are so helpful and informative. Graham cooks a tremendous breakfast, all fresh with great quality produce used. We had travelled to Kelso, for the Tour of Britain cycling race Stage 1. Hilary and Graham are keen cyclists, Hilary invited me to join her cycling club friends as we cycled through the start point ahead of the race start. That was an amazing experience. Our dog travels everywhere with us and she was also made very welcome. If you are looking for peace and quiet with caring hosts then look no further. Thank you for making our few days in Kelso so relaxing and enjoyable

Beautiful old property ideally located in Kelso. Short walk to town or to the Cobby. The property has retro charm and Graham was wonderful attentive host who also cooked delicious breakfasts! All produce is locally sourced. There is ample parking at the rear of the property and looked to be dog friendly. Graham has extensive knowledge of the area and is happy to make recommendations for dinner and day trips.

Not really a dislike more an observation, this property may not be the best choice for people with mobility issues. There are stairs and the age of the house means that some of the floors have dips and raises in the old floorboards. But that in itself added to the charm of the whole stay.

Excellent position in Kelso, very close to the centre, cafes, great restaurants, and also Floors Castle. Graham was a font of local knowledge and very keen to help us make the most of our stay.
