Midway Guest House

Great location, easy to access the town of York from here. Great host, very friendly and helpful. Extra tea, coffee, shower gel is left out if you need it, makes things a lot easier if you need more. Host is happy for you to leave the car in the car park on the day of check out until around 15:00 when new guests will start to arrive. Good breakfast selection, lots of choice let alone the cooked option (not all week as it clearly states). Would certainly look to book again. Two bus stops in easy reach for transport.

Furniture room was alright, room was clean , bathroom clean

Not was very happy, bed was uncomfortable, It creaks with every movement , can't sleep, horrible. .

Lovely house with plenty parking,comfortable bed with nice clean bedding we had a double and a single in our room.Shower was great plenty hot water. We thought we were quite a waybout of york but you can walk along the river which only took us around 20mins it was lovely.There is also a bus stop right outside the property.Paul the owner is very helpful he got us some chocolates and fizz as it was my daughters birthday.

Hotel a little dated but not a major concern.

Very nicely decorated, clean, comfortable room. Easy, free parking. Handy location for my purposes.

Breakfast only available on certain days, so opted out altogether.

Staff never even acknowledged I was there. Never spoke with anyone.

Location was good. A short walk along side the river to the city center was quite and leafy. The room was bigger than we expected and we like the bay window area where a table is set.

It was comfortable, clean, & had free parking. It was all I needed being a business traveller

Was disappointed there is no breakfast in the week and its not included in the price anyway

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Free parking on site.

I had to clean the remote control with wet wipes. A bathroom fan was on all nights I stayed there until midnight, which was annoying. Thankfully I had ear plugs.

We loved this place! Lovely host, very good communication, and very kind to let us park up early and go into the City for an afternoon show at the theatre. He was very informative regarding different methods of travel into the City, nothing too much trouble. Comfortable room, plenty of tea/coffee etc, lovely shower, and the location was excellent!

The room was too warm, I usually have a bedside fan with me and I forgot it. Very hot in the middle of the night, but the temperature outside was rising in the better weather. It wouldn't stop us staying here again though.

Room very clean, had everything you need. Bed comfortable. Plenty milk, tea and coffee available for tea tray in room, also in hallways a basket for toiletries to pick up if needed.
