Kincaid House Hotel

The Kincaid is by far one of my most most favoured hotels. It has very large and beautifully furnished rooms and the staff are so very friendly and welcoming, The bar is warm and welcoming with a good choice of locally sourced foods. Great atmosphere. In the summer I have dinner in the lovely and bright conservatory. Breakfast is a treat. So, all -n-all, 100%

Lovely hotel, will come again

Only issue that I had was that I couldn't open a window as they had been painted shut.

The building itself is really charming, our room included part of a turret! The restaurant was good and the staff are very welcoming.

Fabulous hotel, room was great, staff friendly and helpful. Ate breakfast and dinner on both nights of my stay, food and service was excellent. Great customer service by the team.😀

Excellent stay regarding every aspect of this hotel. First class service from the staff especially Alistair, who greeted us at reception and doubled as barman/waiter. The room was stylish, boutique and immaculate. Food (evening meal and breakfast) was well presented and delicious. I have paid lots more for lesser hotels, another visit will be planned soon.

I have stayed at this hotel before and on two separate nights last week. I was very impressed by my first stay. Last week was not so good. I was given a very small room at the back of the hotel when I checked in last week. When I checked in again on Sunday evening when the hotel was not very full I asked if I might have a room in the front. I was then told because I had booked through a website being Hotels.com they could not change my room. If I wanted a different room I would need to have booked directly with the hotel. I was told off like a naughty schoolboy by a young man who was young enough to be my grandson. Most disappointing.

Things are not the same as they used to be - the rooms have been refurbished and we could have been in any hotel anywhere. The public areas lack character - no pictures, no artefacts. It is now blank and disappointing - we won't be back.
