Rowntree Lodge

Excellent bed and breakfast, room was very nice and breakfast was so tasty and plentiful, highly recommended.

We had a late check in which staff made incredibly easy for us. A fan had been put in the room, which was blissful (we'd probably not have slept without it). Bed was reasonably comfy - we have a memory foam one at home so I'm usually pretty judgemental of mattresses, but I slept quite well.

Had some issues locating the building as the sign outside looked like it was for something else (Rowntree Lodge IS written on it, but in smaller letters). Not really an issue and we had a laugh about it afterwards, but a bit frustrating whilst navigating the one way system on South Cliff.

Clean and comfortable with nice decor.

The shower required some maintenance due to sticking sliding shower screen and towel rail was not attached properly, but staff will no doubt sort these issues out now they are raised, other than that nice room.

So accommodating, couldn't have done more for us. Lovely big room. Food was exceptional.

Lovely big room with a king sized bed and lots of windows giving natural light. The staff were so friendly. Breakfast was cooked to order and made with good quality ingredients. Honestly this is such a good place to stay!

The room was very warm but then we’re going through a heat wave, and the there was a fan provided in the room.

Early check in from 1pm as standard . Free parking with pass from hotel. Staff so friendly. Very clean. Marvellous different choice for breakfast. I had eggs Bravas.

We were going to Scarborough spa which wasn't far but downhill. The funicular wasn't working so quite hard work but that wasn't the hotels fault
