They have unfriendly staff from our experience. The parking is horrible as they make you park away from where you are staying and walk a muddy path with horse poop. Rooms could be nice but need a deep cleaning and maintenance. Would not stay again.

The room was comfortable and clean. The rest of the property was past it’s prime and dusty. Staff were tolerant of guests, but not friendly. The restaurant staff charged automatically 20% tip on dinner for 2. Bring your own bottle or cup for water otherwise they charge $3 for the cup to provide free water. The restaurant burgers and fries were tasty. Beverages of all types were in short supply.

Tourist economy here so I don't begrudge them the high prices. But they weren't that friendly. It's a dude ranch so should I expect cleanliness?

Let’s start with the good: the scenery overlooking Buffalo Valley is stunning, especially at sunset. Check-in was easy enough, although the check-in staff was pretty inhospitable. The cafe was a fun experience although pricey. When taking a shower, the water was COMPLETELY cold 5 minutes into the shower (not enough of a tank to supply the rooms). The walls also seemed super thin as we had a baby crying on one side and could hear entire conversations on the other. The main downfall was being woken up several times in the night from a pack of huskies howling and barking. They were directly across the road and we’re talking a couple dozen at least not just a few farm dogs. When they started barking and howling 4-5 times in the night, it woke everyone up in the room (kids and all). There also was a mouse and I heard it scampering through the room all night (found a tissue nest in the morning). It could be a really cool and unique place, but the set up leaves a lot to be desired. To be honest, it felt like a tourist trap, so I’d skip it if you want a decent night sleep and a warm shower (bare minimum in IMHO).

The place could be cute, but it has so many problems it doesn’t make up for anything. We stayed for 4 nights, in 2 rooms. One ran out of water when too many people used it, one had no hot water, one had marginal internet, the other had none. There is ZERO cell service, so this is an issue. The walls are paper thin, we could hear when people used the toilet, not to mention entire conversations. No screens in the window, no fan or circulation in the bathrooms, paint peeling off the walls, flies everywhere since it’s next to horses but they don’t try to manage it even in the restaurant which is super expensive. $85 for two burgers, fried pickles & one soda (the food was excellent though, when you weren’t swatting the dozens of flies). There were no lights outside the doors to get to your car and there were broken steps and ones that definitely aren’t up to code (too skinny). It had one nice shower, when the water was available and hot. We stayed in 5 places in the Yellowstone & Tetons area. This was more expensive than some and the only one that was totally unacceptable on every level. Again it could be cute, the area is spectacular, the places could be fixed up and managed better. But as of right now I highly recommend people avoid staying unless you just need a bed for the night and can sleep through other people using the bathroom and don’t need to communicate with anyone while your there!

Limited heat and its 30 degrees here. Only heat in the bathroom was a small plug in heater that had to be plugged in by the sink. Very safe! The hair dryer put out more heat. Extension cords running for the lamp. Im very mad at myself for not researching this better. Pictures are very misleading.

The staff in the main office was very nice and helpful. The room was very clean and easy to find. However, the water to our room turned off during my shower and we were out of water for 45 minutes. We called in the morning to ask about why our water went out and they informed us it was because the water tank to the lodge we were in must have run out due to the capacity of lodgers using the water. This is understandable as it is a ranch house, but a heads up would have been nice to know in advance!

The view was incredible. The bed was comfortable. There was only enough room for 1 tiny chair in the corner. Very uncomfortable to sit on. We never could get internet even outside our room. We had to drive down to restraunt and use it there. Very irritating since we run a business and couldnt get through. Shower pan needs to be replaced, you stand in a pool of someone elses shower water. View is incredible though. Restraunt issues: The cook refused to make the trout and fried chicken. She said she didnt want to deal with it. Chef said only thing you could order on menu was something fried or a burger. Ridiculous...
