GeoPark Hotel

Good surrounding-Oriental village. closer to waterfalls and cable car station. But no nearby good restaurants/bars/clubs, you have to travel lot. Breakfast and lunch can get in hotel/nearby.

Hotel room was spacious, but facilities like internet, proper lighting in the room was not up to expectations. Walk away distance from cable car & beach at Langkawi. Hotel staff was very helpful & showed great hospitality.

very good hotel . comfortable and clean . It it near car cable only 3 minutes or less walk and 10 min walk to seven walls. There are a lot of restaurants around only few minutes walk. the surrounded area is very nice . The staff in very friendly and helpful. Trees and water around the hotel like garden.Also shops are around . very nice view from the hotel.I recommend my family and friends to stay in GeoPark hotel .Disadvantages:room is small , break fast is not provided by the hotel. There is no iron in the room.

Hotel is located at Oriental Village, near the cable car. There are small shops and people around in the day but the area is very isolated at night - no lights, no activity, no shops open. Hotel room is spacious, generally clean, only 2 levels of rooms. TV not working well, bad connection. Wifi is working alright. However only one wall socket available. No hair dryer too.

good location for the main attraction of the island ie the skycab cable car and the village has a lot to offer of modern life. water heater not fully functioning. noisy place as main attraction is very nearby but for those used to have that situation is okay. internet service intermittent which is frustrating. swimming pool was closed for maintenance for days is much frustrating as my main intention to have swimming fun for family dampened my expectation besides costly car rental and rides.

Great location, we spent our last day exploring Oriental Village, shopping for souvenirs and riding the cable car. Room is basic and this is the place for travelers on a tight budget, a little worn but it was clean and a good size. It was a little too noisy at night for me (not people, more like nature is apparently very talkative at that time). Hiking nearby and the cafeteria was decently priced. The food was good but closes really early. Our flight out of LGK was very early in the morning, a guy at the front desk gave us an inflated price for a taxi ride back to the airport, stating it was due to the early time. We paid it but it was an obvious ripoff, we had no choice because we were making arrangements late the night before.

The hotel is run down and in need of a lot of care and attention. There is no alcohol in the Oriental village complex due to the overwhelming muslim comunity so a cold beer is out of the question. The included breakfast was really just toast and sugary orange juice. The room was advertised as premium and was the most expensive at the hotel. We were dissapointed with the level of cleanliness, amenities and the general standard of the place. The brochure is misleading and not accurate at all. Safe to say we would not return to this Hotel again.... ever.

Oriental Village on Langkawi is very nice (but closes early). This is a good spot for a stopover on to Koh Lipe, as required. Close to airport and jetty.
