View from the hotel is stunning! Loved having its own beach beds and umbrellas. Shuttle service up and down from the town was always available if needed. Restaurant at the gruel is very good too!

Me and my husband stayed in one of their best suites for our honeymoon. It was the only option to us when looking at hotels, the view was the best we ever had and the service absolutely impeccable. We were able to arrange a transfer through them, so convenient and the car was very luxurious. The entire time from meeting the transfer driver to our shuttle back to the train, we did not touch a single door handle or bit of luggage. The staff were so delightful and accommodating. The room was just beautiful and the breakfast in bed was so needed. We ordered the cheese board and flowers for arrival and they were stunning. I wish we got to try more of their amenities but our timing was always wrong but the activities you can book are so unique and sounded incredible! We will definitely be returning for an anniversary and are already counting down the days.

I would like to say the experience i had in the hotel with the staff naming Giuseppe, Nicole 1 and Nicole 2, and albert for the outstanding service. I would recommend they need a pay rise as they are accredited to your hotel! Grazie mille!

This is a hotel with real character. It feels like stepping into La Dolce Vita in the 60s. The view from my room was breathtaking - probably the best I’ve had and I travel extensively. The pool area is excellent, everything spotless and plenty of staff. Davide and Isabelle were particularly wonderful, offering guidance, organising and generally being lovely and welcoming. I stayed on my own visiting friends but this is possibly one of the most romantic hotels I’ve ever been too. Please visit!

We just stayed at this beautiful hotel with my family and had the most wonderful experience. The hotel itself is stunning, with breathtaking views from absolutely everywhere — our room, the restaurant, the breakfast area, and even the pool all offered incredible panoramas that made the stay unforgettable. The staff was amazing — truly one of the highlights of our stay, specially the Venezuelan brothers — they were very kind, helpful, and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and well-prepared, with plenty of options to choose from, and we also enjoyed a lovely dinner at the restaurant.

If we had to mention anything we didn’t love, it would be the decor — it was a bit rustic and not particularly stylish. A more modern touch would have really matched the overall vibe and setting of the property better. Also, in the bathroom, the amenities could definitely be improved. The shampoo and body wash were the same product, and there wasn’t a proper conditioner — the one provided didn’t work well. The hairdryer was also quite weak and barely blew any air, which made it hard to use. However, these were only small details that did not impact the overall experience in our stay.

I would have given 5 stars before I even began my vacation. We traveled as a party of eight , which made planning a little harder. The staff at the hotel was so kind and helpful before I even got there - answering my questions, helping me arrange a boat trip, dinner reservations and even our transportation to our next destination. It was so great knowing that everything was taken care of! The location is stunning, as you see on the pictures from their website and tripadvisor. The views are spectacular, the beach is right down the hill, as is the town. there is a wonderful breakfast every morning- where we were able to sit and enjoy breakfast while taking in the views! The staff is simply amazing - particularly Nicola at the pool bar area - so attentive and funny and great to be around. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay while exploring Cinque Terre!

Hotel in close proximity to Monterosso town - at top of a hill with stunning views from all areas . Very friendly drivers will collect if need a lift up the steep hill. Hotel is in a great location and has access to the path to walk to Vernazza and has reserved sun loungers on the beach which is beside the town. Gorgeous clean pool and hot tub with views of vineyard on one side and ocean on the other. Food is excellent with perfect service .. stayed on the 3rd floor in a room with a large balcony with sun loungers and chairs .. We were all very sad to leave the Hotel Porta Roca..
