Hotel Porto Roca

The view looked out at the sea and the bay in Monterosso. It was an Exceptional view. The room was large with a sitting room, bedroom and large bathroom. The towels in the bathroom were heated (a nice touch) as was the floor. The infinity pool and hot tub were clean and the pool side bar and restaurant were fantastic! Dinner in the formal dining room again didn't miss a beat. Service was top notch, and the food was nearly the best we had during our 17 days in Italy!! Would go out of my way to stay here again!

I would like the shuttle to pick you up at the train station and not at the bottom of the hotel's drive. When you are pulling large or small suitcases and a backpack the walk from the station to the bottom of the hill seems a lot farther than it is! :-) Some of the furniture in sitting room and bedroom could be updated given room rates, and as always more plug-ins at bedside and sitting room (USB-C and USC-B).

The best hotel I’ve stayed in Italy! Stunning views, amazing service & amenities, couldn’t ask for a better stay for during our honeymoon. We got there a few hours early and the room was ready when we arrived. Shuttle service was a god sent. The staff is friendly and cleaned our rooms thoroughly each day. The pool and hot tub overlooking the water is amazing. Just book your stay, don’t even question it!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. First, the views are amazing! The staff was friendly and helpful from the moment that we arrived. Our room had a nice balcony with to enjoy the great views. Breakfast was excellent each morning. Pool side bar is very nice with a great staff as well. Excellent dinnner at the restaurant on our first night.

An absolutely lovely hotel. We spent 4 nights there and loved every minute. The spacious comfortable room had a balcony with sunbeds and chairs overlooked the sea and just 20 meters from the pool . All the staff were pleasant and eager to help. For example we needed some laundry done. We dropped it at Reception at 2 pm and it was returned washed and folded within 3 hours! The buffet breakfast was wide ranging and plentiful. The hotel is at the summit of a steep but short climb from the village and will arrange pick up [if needed]

We enjoyed our stay at Porto Roca. The open terrace in our room provided spectacular views of the sea and town. The infinity pool is beautiful with more outstanding views. The water in the hot tub was not quite up to hot tub temperature and the reclining lounge chairs were not very comfortable, at least for anyone over 6' tall. That is the end of any negative reporting. The pool bar staff were very friendly and responsive to our beverage orders. The breakfast buffet is outstanding and the wait staff, again, was very friendly and efficient. Our one meal in the hotel restaurant was excellent. We walked up the drive from Monterosso a couple times but the available shuttle up and down the drive also came in handy. The property was very clean. We were never disturbed by occupants in adjacent rooms.

Lovely hotel in a magnificent spot. The 24hr shuttle bus was the icing on the cake to make it workable.

In terms of the overall experience, probably the best place we've stayed - the room was perfectly adequate, but what really made it stand out were the panoramic views, the infinity pool, the sunbeds on the beach, and the breakfast. Monterosso is also the best of the 5 villages to stay in, the old town is very pretty and has loads of good bars and restaurants serving local food, particularly seafood.
