Great staff and service. Excellent restaurant and shopping centers next block. Recommend to everyone.

hotel was good, not great, but good, friendly service adequate breakfast close to markets and the 'old' business district

The room was very nice, comfortable, most staff very pleasant. Good breakfast. Problems: First, the hotel does not honor the check-in time of noon listed on the Hotels.com website. They would not let me check in until 1 pm. Second, payment for the room was very confusing. First they said they would charge me when I checked in, then they said they accepted cash (Tenge) only, then they said they would accept Visa card. Too late on the last... I was already running around Astana's banks exchanging money. Last, and this is really disappointing, they phoned the taxi driver (who works for the hotel) as he was driving me to the airport and accused me of stealing a towel from the room. This was very unprofessional and inappropriate, and what you would expect from a hostel. I finally resolved the issue (entirely in Russian, mind you, since the hotel staff making the accusation knew very little English). I did not feel like resolving a bathroom towel issue as I was running late for my flight.

I checked out same day as the heating system was not working .in - 6 degree it was like freezer. Please stop recommending this hotel.

Nice hotel, liked personal, clean room, taste breakfast. Location can be not good for some, for me it was perfect because hotel is near my office.

I wanted to be close enough to the main city to have easy access without the crazy high prices. This is a nice hotel. Conveniently located next to a large grocery store with a deli, so easy to get snacks. Easy taxi ride to train station, main government area. Pleasant staff.

I was in Astana for business; our meetings were held in another hotel & I opted for the "cheaper" option. It was comfortable enough, for a short-time stay. The staff were friendly & accommodating; they spoke enough English for things to work. No English television (some 'news channels' would have been nice). The shower had its own personality & generally, there were basic amenities. The breakfast buffet, very very very basic -- like, Siberian rations! -- but, ATMs nearby, also a supermarket for snacks. About 30 minutes to the airport; 15 minutes, to the tower. If circumstances were to be, I could stay there again (I otherwise needed a break from traveling with my group) ...

Hotel is situated within reasonable distance from the Airport. Hotel staff is very friendly and tries to help out in every aspect. Restaurant is open 24 hours with fewer choices during the night. Lot of staff available 24/7. From the hotel the new town with all the fantastic buildings are easy accessible by bus or taxi. A recommended way of getting round Astana is by simply stopping any car on the main road. It´s a safe, quick and enjoyable way of getting around the Town. Just make sure to agree on the price Before the trip! The football stadium (Astana Arena) is not very far from the hotel and easy accessible by car/taxi. Do NOT miss a visit to the five store Market Hall situated about 200 yards from the hotel! Very enjoyable! Will definitely return to the friendly town of Astana again and to this excellent hotel choice! Recommended!

The G Empire is a little out from the shopping and new architecture of the "new Astana." But it offers a good value. The facilty if clean yet a little tired. the staff are very attentive and accomodating. The restaraunt if good and working to vary their menu. If you in Astana an dont need to be in the heart of the government buildings, shopping mall and lit up city, the the G Empire is a good option.
