Portlodge Motel

Its a fishing hotel. I would not take my family thier.

No operating locks are on room, dirty, and so much more.

The room was fine

Great place to stay if you like to be disappointed.

People were friendly, facilities weren't good including a loud air conditioner which caused me to leave early.

At check in, i was told the refrigerator in my room had personal item in it. They were right, the refrigerator was full of groceries. Not very comfortable wondering if someone was going to knock on the door to get a glass milk

Sitting in rural area near wonderful tourist spots this old gal is like sleeping in a classic car. Everything is retro but reasonably acceptable. Except no amenities... not even coffee. Heck, the vending machine was out of order. Pool out of order. Wifi spotty, tv glitchy, ac antiquated. There is mini putt, go carts and a gas station across the highway with long hours, beer, hot food and fudge to die for. The owners were friendly enough, but a free coffee would have made a nice gesture to make me return. I would return, if necessary, to the Retro Motel.

I was disappointed with the room. No light in the light fixture in the ceiling. Floor vent cover broken. Cheap sheets on bed. Cigarette burns in bedspread.

The pool wasn’t open for the season. Not sure the last time it was. The room was clean but the bedding was stained. We noticed our window was never locked and was open about an inch.

I guess you get what you pay for but the photos I saw when I booked the room totally didn't resemble what the property looks like. Pool was closed in the middle of summer and it was 90° outside that weekend.
