"Nothing photo-shopped about it"

10.0

I have to say that after 44 nights on honeymoon and over half of them in different hotels it italy, this is the only review i'm writing.. It was a beautiful place and a stay i will not quickly forget. That picture, by the way, is not photo shopped; my side of the bed had that exact same view and it's even more gorgeous in person. No joke. Make sure you take the hike! Angelo, it was a pleasure. Hope to see you soon; and if you're reading this, tell your family that we are missing you all and still think about that gnocchi. :) Ciao Fai il bravo.

"highly recommended, quality and service: 5 stars!"

10.0

If you are traveling along Amalfi coast via car (free parking) and planing to visit Positano and have a beautiful hike Path of the Gods, then you can't find a better place to stay! Breath taking views and wonderful location. Fully renovated facility, with great quality in mind! Beautiful rooms and bathrooms. Super, super clean! Angelo and Melania, are the best hosts ever. We feel really like home. Angelo has a big international experience in hospitality business, so every aspect of his business is treated with high professionalism. We like guys so much, that felt very sad leaving them, wish we can meet often. If you need any help with your hike, don't worry there is no need for a private guide, the hike is easy and Angelo will answer all of your questions. The Best restaurant Trattoria La Tagliata (price, quality and service are a very pleasant surprise) on entire Amalfi coast is just 2 min walk away :) Highly recommended place to stay!

"Charming family-run B&B"

10.0

Mamma Rosa is located a 10 min bus ride above Positano itself, which is well worth it - it feels a world away from the tourist vibe down there. It's right on the famous Walk of the Gods trail, and the views from the bedrooms, looking out over the sea from that height, are stunning. The family are incredibly welcoming, and obviously take great pride in both the facilities, and ensuring their guests are happy. The rooms are immaculate. The bathrooms aren't en-suite, but just across the corridor, and you also have access to a kitchen if you want to cook. The breakfast and optional dinners (for 25 Euros a person - well worth it, all the ingredients used are from the family's own farm) are delicious.

"Amazing b&b overlooking Positano"

10.0

My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights in August on our honeymoon and enjoyed every minute of it!! The view from our balcony was breathtaking, and definitely worth the climb from the road (about 200 steps)! The room we had (Room Perla) was beautiful, very clean, and very spacious. Angelo and Maria were extremely hospitable and helpful in planning our itinerary. We found this to be a great base location for sightseeing along the Amalfi coast...we were able to do Positano (2 days), Amalfi/Ravello, Capri and Pompeii (though Pompeii was pretty far). The only downside was the very squishy bus at night from the centre of Positano to the b&b, but hey, it's all part of the experience! Also, we did go during the height of tourist season. The best part about staying here though would have to be the food! Breakfast was always fantastic - freshly baked croissants, fruits from the garden, cookies, cappuccino, etc. But the most amazing of all was dinner! This was the best meal we had during our 3-week stay in Italy. No joke. Started off with bruschetta, followed by cannelloni that melted in your mouth, followed by eggplant parmesan (that also melted in your mouth), and lava cake for dessert. And lots of homemade white wine! Amaaazing. Thank you Mamma Rosa's for the wonderful stay!!!

"Mamma Rosa? Mamma Mia!"

10.0

Fabulous place with great views, warm hospitality, large and clean rooms. Need to go up some 200 stairs to get there, but quite manageable, we thought. Breakfast was sumptuous every morning. They only have two rooms, so ideal for two couples or families, but great for others too. You won't regret staying at this place.

"A Great Place to Stay!"

10.0

We loved staying here! It was our second stop on our honeymoon and we couldn't have asked for a more relaxing time. The view is breathtaking! I highly recommend having the home cooked meal. It was absolutely delicious and so fresh! Angelo was so accommodating. He gave us tips on where to eat in Florence (our next stop) and called a driver to take us to the Napoli train station the day we left. He genuinely treated us like family. We will be going back!

"Beautiful and Romantic!"

10.0

B&B Mamma Rosa was one of the most relaxing and beautiful places my boyfriend and I have ever stayed! Angelo and Melania were incredibly welcoming and gracious. Angelo would bring a freshly baked croissant and a cappucino every morning and was available for every question and request we had during our stay. Also the home cooked dinner we enjoyed at the B&B was a highlight of our trip. I cannot say enough good things about our stay.... If/ when we return to Positano we will absolutely stay at Mamma Rosa!

"Wonderful perch on the amalfi"

10.0

It took us a while to find mamma rosa - it is on the very outskirts of positano and quite a tortuous drive upwards into the cliffs. The location is it's one downfall, as if you want to explore positano or go to the beach, you have to drive there. When we found it we then had to lug our gear up several flights of steps. The hotel wasn't clearly marked but when we finally worked out which it was and Angelo immediately took us inside straight to our rooms, bade us sit down and admire the view from the balcony and gave us a glass of water. He returned five minutes later to book us in and give us the tour. The room was amazing - a breathtaking view down into the town and along the coast. At night the lights made the place seem quite magical. The room itself was a joy - spotless and beautifully decorated, white walls, wooden floors, a lovely comfortable bed. At breakfast we had one of the best croissants in Italy. Angelo also recommended a restaurant near the hotel 'the ritrovo' which was superb. A fantastic stay.
