Residence Inn Bismarck North

Family vacay. Room was a suite with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. Very spacious, clean and modern.

The staff here is absolutely wonderful. Everyone from front desk to housekeeping was always friendly and attentive. The room had a strong fragrance smell. It's not unpleasant, just strong. There is only one USB port in the room, which was slightly inconvenient. The hot tub heater was not working during my stay, but there was a notification on the pool door. Breakfast could use some improvements. The biscuits and pancakes were hard from sitting on the steam pan too long. More fruit options would be nice. There is ample parking, which is nice.

The facility was clean and at easily accessible. If there was a negative, it would be that the parking lot spaces (lines) need to be repainted. Some cars were parked in two spaces which caused a shortage.

The staff here every day for the week we stayed were just outstanding! You are treated like family coming and going. They were all so accommodating for a couple of senior citizens. The breakfast each morning was delicious. Special treats of warm chocolate chip cookies made you feel welcome after a long day. Christa bakes a mean cookie! Jake was very accommodating with special requests. Rooms are spacious and the beds were very comfortable.

Family reunion and booked majority of hotel with overflow at Courtyard Marriott next door. Of our immediate family, two of four reservations “wrong”. Two family members had booked, with confirmations, two room two bath suites. When arrived, put in 1 bed one bath rooms. Ray, at front desk, got rather irate (at US) that despite having confirmations, his computer showed they had the smaller rooms and it was our fault because “you guys have booked the whole hotel”. Thankfully were able to get rooms for those left without a bed into Courtyard Marriott which shared a parking lot with this hotel and was a delightful property. In addition to the strange smells of the property and bugs crawling across the very frayed and well, well-worn carpet in rooms, Housekeeping also provided opportunity to meet several of Bismarck’s finest when credit cards and cash were stolen from rooms while family was participating in reunion activities. Not surprising personal belongs were rummaged through because housekeeping certainly wasn’t cleaning while in rooms.

A comfortable bed and very clean and comfortable little apartment. We got an upgrade on the room with a kitchen and living room space with a couch and desk. The entire hotel was very clean and we had a swim in the indoor pool and sat in the hot tub which was also very clean. We were able to make coffee in our suite and then go out for dinner across the street as advised by the front desk. Overall, this was a very positive experience. I recommend this older establishment as good value.

The staff was great! I booked two rooms and called to see if they were joint rooms and the guy said they didn’t have those but upgraded us to a two room king suit with no problems. When we checking in the guy at the counter was super friendly and such a pleasure to talk to. We will be staying here whenever in Bismarck.

The pool was very cold but we just swam in the hot tube instead.

The room is comfortable but the carpet is looking worn. The bed is too hard, good if you like a firm mattress but it’s acceptable.
