Residence Inn Bismarck North

We stay here all of the time. This was our first time having it be terribly dirty in the halls and rooms. My parents had a room as well and had issues with service. We had things broken in our room and my parents had a missing remote. Very unclean all around this time.

I was going to call this hotel “past it’s prime”, but my husband thinks is more in the “falling into disrepair” category. I stayed here about 6 years ago and was happy with it at the time. I expect a Residence Inn to at least be a solid hotel, but it disappointed this time. To clarify, every front desk employee we encountered was wonderful and I have no complaints about any of them. It’s basically a collection of smallish issues. We asked for a pack and play prior to arrival. On arrival we were informed that most of the pack and plays had been destroyed a couple of weeks ago so he wasn’t sure they had one available. It is NOT the desk clerks fault, he was able to get us one, but this feels like something that either should have been remedied in that time or we should have been informed. The pack and play that we did get was in poor shape with a bent side and stained. The sink was leaking and it took 2 visits in 2 days to repair it. We found multiple pieces of dog food (5 or 6) in the room. 2 lights weren’t working, one because it just didn’t have a lightbulb. The pulley for the blind in one room was completely broken. There are small holes in the ceiling as if a lighting fixture has been removed. Although in some rooms with was patched with mismatched paint or spackle. The conditioner was watered down so it was clear with chunks of white conditioner. About half of the washers and dryers were out of order. The fitness room had multiple free weights missing, trash in the drink holders of multiple machines and a broken device holder on one machine. That’s what comes to mind off the top of my head. We come to Bismarck regularly with our children, but I don’t think we will stay here again.

The room was the perfect size for what we needed. The furniture was comfortable. The kitchenette was stocked with utensils and cookware. Everything worked. There was only one usb specific outlet, but a ton of outlets throughout the room. The breakfast was changed up a little bit during the days we were there. Relatively quiet stay.

My family and I stayed in two rooms for the weekend. Our 1st room was terrible. I picked up wrappers on the floor, hair on the bathroom floor. My son slept on the couch and there were dirty sheets on it. We had to get our own sheets at the desk. We didn’t have a remote for our tv and called the desk and told sorry we would have to wait until the next day to get one. In the morning went to make coffee and there was coffee but not for our coffee maker. We have stayed at Residence inn before and never had a problem. All we were told it’s hard to find good help, do better!

Jake at the front desk made our stay welcoming and memorable. Started with a fun game, a cold bottle of water, a snack bag, and a handwritten note. The hotel room was clean and quiet. Staff was helpful with my extra requests. Very pleased with our stay.

This might be the friendliest and most accommodating staff I have ever encountered and I travel quite a bit. You will not be disappointed. All staff has been wonderful to me and my family and friends during our stay. Thank you all!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 2 bedroom suite was an excellent size. The front desk staff was great.

The room needed a better cleaning; walls were dirty. The kitchen staff at breakfast time was terribly inefficient amd let the supplies and food run too low before restocking, especially on a weekend.
