Absolutely nothing

Host was very friendly. Even invited herself to join me for dinner. Lovely rural location. Quiet

Amanda rang me on the day of check in to inform me she had a leak in the shower and so was moving me into the twin room. She said a man who was staying for one night would be okay with staying in the double. Sounded odd but okay. In the late conversation she said it was a leaking toilet so she even changed her story. When I arrived at my room it was very cold and Amanda informed me there was a problem with the oil for the heating and brought me an electric heater. Then I told her that the Wi-Fi was not working except directly outside of the room and she saw that the router was flashing red. So I was moved to a tiny single room with a tiny en suite toilet and tiny hand basin the shower was down the hallway. When I settled in I noticed the lamp was not working. I asked her if the lack of hot water was due to the oil problem and she said "yes, please boil a kettle". A problem I had all weekend was knowing whether I was drinking cold water from a cold tap or cold water from a hot tap because the tiny sink pad a single mixer tap unlabeled. The following morning I decided to have a cup of tea and the complementary little pack of biscuits. The first biscuit tasted old and soft and so I checked the best before date and it was dated 03.01.26. The biscuits were 2 months out of date. I put the TV on to catch a little bit of The Chase and the TV had no signal. With this catalog of errors I would like a full refund. I could excuse one or two things but this is actually beyond a joke and has impacted on the pleasure of my weekend away.

Super friendly welcome from Amanda, facilities were all perfect - clean and well-provided. A very comfortable and characterful property!

I was very pleased with the accommodation and it was very clean.

If we had been staying for longer the outside area certainly needed attention. Grass was long and the areas around the cottage needed weeding.

As I was travelling back down South after a stay in NE Scotland, the accommodation was the perfect place to offer me one last night in Scotland before travelling home the next morning. As it was only a few miles off the main road it was a perfect location, as it was quiet and cosy and very clean and tidy.

The internal Facilities were clean, and fit for purpose, the physical location was rural and pleasant

Principally the breakfast. The property was sold as providing a full cooked breakfast backed up by strong reviews praising it, with the Tag Line " Excellent Breakfast" one of the reasons we try to support traditional B&Bs. Shortly after booking we received a note saying that due to circumstances there would only be a Continental breakfast left in the room. As we were travelling this note was picked up after the 1 hour booking cancellation time, so we were stuck with the reservation. A breakfast was left in only one of the 2 rooms we had booked, with the second receiving nothing. What was presented was exceptionally disappointing. A plastic basket with a small banana, a small child's fruit Juice box and, a yoghurt, and a small collections of cheap wrapped baked goods from a German Supermarket. No plates, cutlery, fresh milk. We left early and had the expense of purchasing a decent breakfast from a motorway cafe. Externally, what was once clearly splendid property was untidy and unkempt, and we suspect there will be some extenuating circumstance for this, but over all a very disappointing experience.
