Fabulous views, fantastic staff and lovely breakfast

Only one plug in the room - had to unplug a lamp or the fridge if two of us wanted to use a plug. Bedside lights only accessed from one side of the bed so couldn't use them independently - too weak to read a book by anyway. Balcony only had room for one chair so we had to take it in turns to sit and look at the wonderful view.

Magnificent view, but better on the high-level floors!

Do colchão demasiado mole e desconfortável, pelo menos para mim e das almofadas. Quartos mal insonorizado, houve de um quatro para o outro.

A place you might have dreamed of. The location is right above a beautiful section of the Douro River. Each room has a river view with a small balcony. The hotel is very nice, the lobby, bar and sitting area beg you to come and sit, visit, play a game, have a drink and take in the beautiful views from the floor to ceiling windows. It is a place you need to consider for a few days on a honeymoon - it's pretty romantic. The rooms are very nice, have everything you need, are very clean and nice. The dining room has a spectacular view with very good food. The hotel grounds have a pool, sitting areas, a walking path and has a rural feel. Leave your balcony door open at night for a cool breeze and no noise. It isn't an inexpensive hotel, but for what you get, I think it's a real bargain.
