"Good position for lively Hayfield."

Comfortable, clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very good. Parking just outside the door and very convenient.

The stairs only because I have arthritis and have difficulty climbing them. My fault, not theirs.

I don't think the extractor fan was working in the bathroom.

The staff were unbelievably friendly and accommodating. The room was warm, with loads of tea/coffee and very spacious. We were leaving early, before breakfast was due to be served so they made us a packed lunch to take for our journey. Absolutely brilliant, thanks for a great stay.

For us, everything was great. If you are looking for a 5 star, premium stay then this might not be for you. There were a few old stains on the carpet and signs of old mould in the bathroom and around the windows, but that's to be expected in an old building. The beds were very clean and tidy, with extra blankets and there were plenty of clean towels. We were very happy.

Lovely . Really friendly helpful staff. Gorgeous pub , clean & cosy room, comfy beds, outstanding breakfast. Everything we needed for an overnight stay while attending a party in the village. Really welcoming & friendly with my learning disabled adult daughter & this was noticed & appreciated. Thankyou 🤩

The owner was very hospitable and welcoming and the room was very clean and perfect for our 1 night stay. Full English breakfast was the best I’ve had in a long time!
