Friendly local pub, good beer and breakfasts, great location

Great location, you can access hiking routes without having to drive anywhere. Rustic feel with more comfort than a hostel. Breakfast was amazing.

Stairs old property so nothing they could do.but l struggled.l booked twin room got double but owner gave us a new room.

Only complaint is that it got fairly cold at night around 2am when the heating went off.

On the site of the Kinder Lodge, it had been advertised that we would have to bring our own sheets and towels, which wasn't the case. It ought to be corrected.

Location is good for this stay as Hayfield is close to all attractions and with in 30 mins you could reach monsal trail and mam tor locations.

few things. 1) Room was freezing when we checked-in and heaters were completely controlled by landlord. You have no option to reduce/increase the heating. On day 1 we had cold water in showers so had to ask landlord to turn on hot water (which he did) 2) Heating is ok until 10pm and then room was again like a ice box. Overall, it was COLD. I personally don't like to request keepers to increase/decrease heating but here I had no option but walk down to pub (managed by host) and ask for heating.

The room was perfect i was only there for 1 night to go hiking in the peak district the next day
